This was also posted in the trading section. Yes it's stupid, but it's eBay so what do you expect?

Look at this "xtreme" description:

"no doubt the best sidearm made by Nerf yet" then he says the same thing again "you are getting the very best"

"spring has been supercharged to unleash incredible power."

I tried modding this myself by just removing the air restrictors and it still sucked. I bet if I wanted to I could just lie and say the spring is super powered, I bet that's what that guy did. But still.. $50?!!? That's stupidly crazy. However, if I am in need of money, I can just modify a few guns and sell it on eBay for double the price.

I remember just pulling mine apart to see what could be done for it. Then i put it back together without even removing the AR and it worked pretty well, as in comparable to a stock NF. Anyway... I hope you guys won't think less of me if I suddenly pick up a habbit for modding and reselling NF's and LS's on ebay because of this guy.

edit* My point was that it's not a bad side arm to begin with when looking at ranges, granted its much larger than any side arm should be and it has a worthless barrel on the top that you could probably advertize as a "scope."

Tried that my self with a magstrike and ended up making a whole whopping $1.

Guess I am just two honest. I have been watching Nerf guns on e-bay for a while there seems to be no sense to how they sell, modded or no.

I mod nerf guns so they look good. So leave my scopes, doodads, and trinkets alone I like them. I don't mind the weight and I started out that way on toy guns and its not going to change.

Just because one eBayer is a retard (well, thousands are actually just as stupid) doesn't mean you are, although if bumping your own prices makes you look like one. But then again, that's marketing and life. Just come here if you need guns or ammo, since we don't lie, and you can always ask/search around to find the quality of a gun.

You made a buck on that magstrike, that sucks. At least you made, like 5 or 10 bucks from my nitefinder. Anyway, honesty is your enemy on ebay unforunatelly, being a liar and using huge adjectives to describe how good your gun supposedly is is the trick to selling on ebay, not honesty. It's quite a retarted system if you ask me.

Oh, and here's another one going for 51 bucks, click here

It's all about marketing: convince as many stupid eBayers as possible that your gun is one of the best (like how Hasbro calls the NF red light something like an accurate laser targeting device, or how the Firefly has the overstressed higher mag capacity, ammo holders, and glow-in-the-dark darts /w gun lamp), and they will all bid for it like nerds rushing to get the last Star Trek DVD.

Its amazing when i see stuff like this. Its amazing how many idiots there are selling bogus stuff on ebay. But when there is something actually decent (like my stuff for example) it doesn't get any bids. Why this happens, i still do not know.

Hey All, I am a mod seller on e-bay. I can see how the bucks going down for a such a weak gun would raise a little heat. As far as I see it though, the capitalist world of e-bay is just a micro of our society. But it seems this thread has turned once again into a e-bay bashing gig. I sell guns and ammo that Im proud to offer. My buyers are happy, check my feedback for the good time these folks are having. Demand dictates the cost, I open at .99 and let the chips fall where they might. The only thing I can control is my end of things, the production, sales and service. As long as I do these things prop I should come out somewhat ahead of the curve. So please dont fall into that stereotypical rut of bashin the e. There are alot of good things that happen because of the biz that goes down on e-bay. Thanks NH for giving me a place to vent that little bit of babble. Later, Peter aka Mod Man

I have no problem with selling stuff on e-bay. It's a good buisness and I hold nothing against it but I've seen quite a few things I disagree with. One would be this auction posted here, it says that the gun is a longshot, it's really only the longshot front gun. Some others I've seen are the use of ridiculously overexagerated adjectives to describe guns and darts. One person I've always held respect for on the ebay community is mod-man. I respect him because his listings are much more realistic and down to earth than oters I've seen.
