This thing is going to get over 75'!
Not to discourage you or anything but unless you seriously angle the dart into the wind, I don't think a CF is going to get 75'. Mine is brass modded and it gets NO MORE RANGE than 60 feet. Good luck with yours though. I hope it comes out good.

One of them is on the handle - the dremel actually melted the screw tube - and the other is in the middle of the body.

By "Middle" I assume you mean outside, not inside. As in not attached to the cocking/shooting mechanism. As long as its on the outside, and you can get it closed; I dont see any problem that would affect your gun's performance.

You assumed correctly. Thanks for the advice, everybody! I'll be destroying the air restrictors shortly, and I've got some CPVC lying around just waiting to be rammed down the barrel.
