Unless there is proff that you guys will show up on time, be there, and no date changes. Maybe, just a 5% chance. After ILNO and when Ryan and wolf didn't show, something about being hungover and not getting a ride, the chance to drive up and no one shows is a total killer.

Just drove by the usual meeting place and the road is finally unblocked. Also there is a playground structure deally that they have added. Should make for some interesting game play. I'm going to take some pictures this weekend hopefully.

Hey sam, can you post some (or even just one) pics of the playground structure deally? It would help me to know what kind of guns I should bring. I don't want to spoil the surprise but I've got a couple of potentially very interesting guns that may or may not make an appearance at this next war. If we are going to be having close-up battles near the playground structure deally I'll need to mod some other guns. Let me know! Thanks!

I have never fought in a large-scale nerf war, what do I need to know?

wallymaniac, get use to the guns you use. Being proficient with a particular blaster, and know what it can do, is very important. Also make sure your blaster has a good combination of rate of fire and distance. Do you plan on attending?

Haven't got any pictures, but i did get a better look at it. It's tall as fuck, with two big slides, thats about all. I think I'll be able to run over and get some pictures today.

Wait... aren't playgrounds bad things? I mean, yes... they are tres tres amusante for nerfing in, but there is always that part with little kids running around too...

I vote we keep it where it is but it may not be a bad idea to have an alternate location (aside from the other playground), just in case. Although I am glad to hear the road is unblocked.

As for definiteness of attendance, I'm still not going to guarantee anything but as soon as school is out (June 7th) I should be able to set some concrete over all this stuff. In the mean time, keep myself and the NS ecstatically on the potentials list.

Actually they have re-blocked the road. And they are still building the playground. I think we should be OK, it's in a spot with not very much traffic, and at the rate these builders build I'm not sure the area will be open to the public yet.

As for alternate/backup locations, Newell Park maybe an option. Its about 5-10 minutes away from the usual location

I'm getting amped up for this upcoming war. I'm currently working on a rather extensive integration project, nothing terribley complex, but hopefully quite effective. I'll tell you only that involves both NERF and Lanard! I hope I can get it all together in time; it's going to take a lot of customization!

Looking forward to blasting you all with it!

My attendence does not look promising at this point. I will be in the Cities both the weekend before, and the weekend after the war. With gas prices where they're at, 3 straight weeks of 300 mile round trips aren't exactly the coolest thing.

Secondly, attendence from my crew is poor. Most will be involved in an ultimate frisbee tournament the weekend of the war, and I will possibly be involved with that. I have 1 other person interested in going, and I could string together one more if the planets align right.

In short, this war unfortunately does not look promising for me. I'll give a final update as it approaches, but for now it looks as if I'm out. Depending on who's all still around after summer, we could get a fall war together. Sorry guys!

I'm still waiting on responses from clan members but I'm pretty sure me, myself and I will be there and no doubt at least one or two other people will be able to make it.

As for new guns to debut, don't count on it. Ironically enough, the same day that school gets out my room gets the floor ripped up for asbestos and everything in it drowned my workbench. So as soon as I get carpet I can put everything back in my room but until then I'm stuck with nothing to do; I can't even reach my Dremel. :.o(

Also, do we have a time? I can't find one on that first post.

I'll send out some PMs with my cell number so that who ever gets there first can call me and then I'll come down to the location, since i live so close. Does that sound OK?

Maybe some pictures? An address? I have no idea where I am going but I am still definitely coming. I could make it there by ten but preferably 11 because I'd have to leave at 4 in the morning since it is about a 6 hour drive.

Okay anyways...
The Nerd Squad will be there at or around 10. There may not be many others there but at events like these we like to nerf as much as possible. Plus it doesn't hurt to warm up a little.

As for attendance, I currently have a full car which means 5. It's a possibility we could caravan with up to 10, but it's doubtful considering the number of vacations that usually happen around the fourth of July. 5 for sure though unless something blows up.

The planets came into alignment, or something...it's about 90% sure that I can come. My weekend is clear (a surprise), and I have a way there (thanks Ryan!)...so now it's just tying up a few family things for the day. Compared to the first two, that should be easy.

I'm excited about it...my first war, and finally getting to meet you guys and shoot foam at you. Crossing my fingers for that last 10%...

I'm still 100% sure fire coming! I may be able to bring one or two, but it's not likely.

I just finished the integration project I've been working on. It's not the sturdiest thing, but I've tested it and it worked for twenty shots, so it should last the war (though I may just use it for a round or two, unless I can make it more durable). I'm not telling you exactly what it is, just know that you should fear it.

See you all on the 7th (the day before my birthday)!
