My position is the same as it's always been.

I will make my case for reasonable civility (not to be confused with trying to please everyone) - but I'm not going to force it on people.

If people like Famine want to bash every minority group they can think of, I'm going to stand by the first and let them express themselves. While this is a private forum, I don't want the responsibility of deciding what kind of comments are or are not appropriate.

I know it's been a long time in development, but I can assure you that over the course of the next month you will all begin to play a part in the moderation of these forums. At no point will posts here be censored, but if someone shows a consistent pattern of personal attacks, off-topic posts, and trolling, they will rapidly become invisible to the majority of our users.

I'm sure some here would prefer censoring, muting, or banning `offensive' people. Fortunately, NerfHQ is back online and will be happy to supply your friendly, censored, nerf forum needs.

Actually Langley, the avatar is in the general library and was supplied by Julie. It's Cypher from Final Fantasy VIII and he, along with rest of the FF8 cast are available to all. As to the rest of you, what the fuck happened to your sense of sarcasm? Where the fuck is that hippie Spoon? He'll vouch that, although all of us Horsemen do take immense pleasure in frequently using racial and sexual slurs to insult our friends, we have never once used them to describe an actual person of the creed in a negative way. Ok, except this kid Kevin I used to work with, he was Jewish and cheap and I frequently told him so, but he admitted and was often the first to accuse a frugal customer of being a "cheap Jew-bagel bastard".

Wow, if that picture was substituted as my Avatar I have no idea when or for how long. By the time I checked the forums today it was back to Cypher, although about 10 minutes ago my avatar dissappeared and I had to reset it. Haze it's people like you that make saying things like "gay" or "jew" or any other race/ethnic etc. joke or slur that much less entertaining. Watch some stand up comedy on Comedy Central for christ's sake (uh oh, maybe I should have said Allah's sake to be equal opportunity) and you will see that 99% of the humor is ethnic based.
