Not noobish at all. This thread actually has a point.
In my opinion I would use longshots because that would be a ton of fun to have 4 people all with a longshot. If you all use different guns then it wouldn't be equal.
Or you can have 1 person on each team with a longshot and the other with a magstrike. (ETC...)

I own the magstrike, and I would have to say that if all the guns are stock, and it is close quarters, then the magstrike would own everything. I also own the dart tag blaster and in my opinion, it is a good secondary to the magstrike (as I do not own a pistol yet, 2 splitfires on their way). If you can though, put 6 layers of e-tape on the side, to keep the magazine from sliding down into the gun.

This would be my choice. It has 10 shots with reloading and is pretty accurate. The range is good stock and the size is small and compact. It is useful for dodging, covering fire, and just plain "shooting" people. You can also reload easily during short pauses.
