In a plunger for a spring gun, do you think it matters whether the hole where the air releases is in the middle or a little above. Will it get the same ranges? I would think it doesnt matter but I am not sure and before I build something I would like to be sure.

I would say that it probably wouldn't affect anything. Thats what I think though. If I were you I'd double check first.

The SS1 releases air through a hole in the top of the front of the plunger tube, and it still gets great ranges. Mine does tend to fire a little high though, but I can't tell if it's from the kick of the gun or where the hole is located. That's my only experience with this so like the guy before me said, it might be wise to ask someone with a lot of knowledge of homemades or springers.

Im almost posative that if the hole is atleast in the middle of the barrell, then it should be fine. I know what you mean Nerf Monkey how the ss1 shoots up. That same thing happens to my LnL.

The size of the hole matters a lot more than its position. The position of the hole in the endcap has no effect on the pressure that the plunger will generate. In a plunger for a spring gun, do you think it matters whether the hole where the air releases is in the middle or a little above.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Im going to have to relocate the hole. If not that, maybe connect a tube to the barrell where I want it to be.
