Anyone else thinking of bringing a digicam and possibly a DV cam? It would be nice to have some pictures for this war; at the last one I totally forgot to take any good ones while I was out but this time I'm going to get some, and hopefully some good video footage too. If I can get enough I'll try to put together a video.

2) Because it's what they did.

We will be starting at around 10:00am. I am usually early and if we have enough by 10:00am I will form up teams and we'll start. I will also be bringing a friend so that will put us at:

That puts us around 10 I think, factoring in the flake factor and ditching out at the last minute factor as well. And we even have the potential for around 16, if everyone shows up. If we grow too large for the gauntlet we'll drive a couple minutes down the road and Nerf at another location.

Bring water and food money, some people like to order pizza but I'll be going to the Celebrity Deli, or whatever it's called again. That place fucking rocks. Anyone else that can fit in my Jeep is more than welcome to tag along.

If I can find the charger for my DV cam I'll bring it along.

Totally. The only reason I'm going is to have fun. But when I'm out early in a round and there's nothing to do by myself at the pavilion, I might as well get some video of the rest of you guys, and if 2 or 3 people do that everyone will be on tape. And when you have footage you might as well make a video...

UNLESS anyone doesn't want to be on tape/in pictures. In which case I'll leave my (non-Nerf) shit at home.

Not coming, but just thought I would notify you, that I am still game for a Nerfing...I just need to see if I will be in maryland at the time or not. I wouldnt mind one maybe around april. I plan to come in on halloween (dads b-day) but I wouldnt have time to play, and besides that, I have fluid under the knee (which will be taken care of on tuesday thank god) and I def pulled something in my back during last weeks football game.

I just wanted to make sure you all knew I would be up for it sometime. Though I wouldnt be that dependent on coming, I am someone to talk to about it...plus I have guns I can loan when I do come.

I have one more question: In the past two DCNOs I went to, we only did team deathmatches and some free-for-all pistol rounds. These are sweet, but I was wondering if there was ever CTF at DCNOs, or is that mostly a SoCal thing? I've heard a lot about the Californians playing it but never here in the east.

I'd like to try it but if nobody else wants to play that's fine. I was just wondering whether I should make some flags (I have the materials to make them) or if that would just be a waste of time.

Well, I suppose it's not totally out of question, however the one thing I'm concerned about is the field we're playing on. The Gauntlet is great for team games and free-for-all's, but it lacks the 2 semi-uniform team zones that would be used to divide up where the flags would be placed. It's more or less a clusterfuck of trailers, wooden ramps, and asphault.

The only logical places I could imagine us using for flag zones would be on the asphault side near the hill, and the soccer field. That, or inside The Gauntlet itself near the staging area, and on the playground near the opposite side of the field. But still, it could be argued that either one of those areas is more easily accessible than the other.

I'll tell you what, bring two flags and we'll give it a shot. I'm up for trying it. We might have to cone off the field to make it more symmetrical but we'll give it a try.

Hey strangers,

I haven't Nerfed in about 3 years, so I think it's time I change that. DC is pretty far from where I live in Cleveland, but seeing that TIS, Evil, Groove, and a slew of other cool guys I remember/talked to from the NIC in years past are going....I really want to make an effort to come.

I'd say, it's about a 40% chance right now.

If I do come, be prepared for a dreadfully awful display of Nerf preformance. I haven't Nerfed since I was 16, and I'm almost 19 now, so I'm sure to get pumped full of foam plenty of times. But, what better way to get whipped into shape than by the LCM right?

I'll probably bring at least 2 or 3 other mids as long as thats cool. I dont have any of my guns up here and none of them would have any either, so we may need some of those too.

I've sold nearly all of my guns, leaving myself only with a Maxshot (CPVC) and a SM750 (CPVC). I'm probably going to only use one gun at a time during the war, so IF I come, someone can use my other gun.

I really hope to make it out there, although the chances are not the greatest.
