I just took my longshot sight and was trying it on the different guns with rails on top. It looks cool on the firefly and new night finder because the color schemes match. It is not accurate or useful just cool. Anyone who has a longshot and can post pictures of the sight on different guns, please do. (I don't have a digital camera)

Warning:It is a sight, not scope because there is no magnification. Don't start flaming about scopes or s.n.i.p.e.r.s

I agree with you on the firefly. I'm going to dissect mine and turn it into a flashlight mount, which i find more useful. here's some pics.

Not cool, just frickin' hilarious.

And pointless.

PS: Also, I love how it would be just as long as my NF if I hadn't brassed it. I will probably cut off the front piece (with the crosshairs) and use it for a ladder sight, and then put a flashlight inside of what's left.

If you think it looks funny on an nf you should put it on a scout! :)

Yea we are just to lazy to change the date thing. Does the scout have a rail? I thought it just had the thing to attach it to the Titan's rail.

The scout has a rail and the titan has the peices to attach the rail.

The guns with a rail are:
longshot
firefly
new nite finder
scout
dart tag
maverick

We need a picture of a maverick with a fake two foot pvc barrel and a stock with the sight on.

Yea. Every time my camera runs out of batteries (and it runs out fast), you have to reset the date. This time around, I guess I screwed up the year. Oops.

Sometimes I don't even bother with the date...

That's nothing. I removed the sight and installed a smith and wesson Delta Force TAClight using a 1" scope ring and a rail i bought from the local gander mountian. Much more practical than the scope. Seriously. how can a weapon that fires 35ft need a scope?

This has been stated before that although hasbro calls it a scope, it is actually called a sight. and the point of a sight is to narrow the line of sight. Personally I think that mounting a flashlight on top of a gun such as this one will hinder the ability to aim. Might I suggest mounting it on the underside of the gun where the bipod used to go. (remove the bi-pod first obviously)

My initial idea was to mount the Light beneath the gun,but i like it better on top because the rail had an ok fit. i wound up duct-taping it to make it stay because the clip didn't sit. I understand what you mean about the sight, but i still don't use them very often. At the same time, the light does not hinder the aim of the gun horribly, you just have to look a little bit over it.

EDIT:Added photos

The tac light is small enough to where it does not mess with things.

So why does a gun that fires 35' need a flashlight? Nerf wars are mostly during the day and at night it would tell every one were you are. Especially a smith and wesson tac light?

Der Exilen, if you really want that light on you should drill holes and attach the rail to the gun with bolts.

Now that people are done hijacking the thread, lets see some more funny picutres of the sight on other guns.

To be quite honest it's a matter of convienece. most of my battles are played at night (when the humidity drops) so it's a good thing to have a flashlight handy. Also,in terms of the "Doesn't it give away your position?" question. Yes. But it has a quick on-off button on the rear so i don't have to leave it on all the time. if i need to "Go dark" it can happen on and off without any issues.

Navy seal,i'll have it bolted on in time. The duct tape was just a way of preventing lateral motion temporarily until i get the tools i want to set it up right.

[edit]
Oh yeah, and in terms of keeping with the thread, here it is on a maverick.

Hmmm...The only dart tag I've ever seen is the crossfire. I've also never seen any mods for that one. Is it rare?

The Dart Tag Blaster is one of the most common blasters! At the TRU I go to they have tons of them. You can find mods for it in the mods directory. Anyways, the scope seems to be huge on most guns. I thought it would be smaller. It's the size of an NF! Isn't the gun like 6+? I wonder if a 6 year old would be able to shoot the monster Longshot.

They come in two pack, one red one, one blue one. On mine I cut the front handle off 'cuz it annoyed me and 'cuz it looks sexier this way.

Wouldn't that be the magstrike? It's twice the size of a DTG.

I'd love to see someone attach the Longshot to the Titan/hornet combo. Now THAT would be hilarious. :D

The larger dart tag gun (as far as i know) does not have a name. The magstrike is diffrent. it's pneumatic. so it sucks. literally.

A scout would be funny. buy the new tech target. it has a scout in it.

Second. yea. the titan would be pretty errr...diffrent with the big ass longshot attached. although i'd leave the extension off.

The most ridiculous gun for the Longshot sight is the Magstrike.

The clip covers up the sight, totally making it worthless beyond the first shot.
