Someone earlier in the thread mentioned a rifled barrel. Help the newb here, isnt the stock barrel already rifled?

It is fake rifling and just are ridges to make the dart not go as far.

I actually use converted stock darts, but they work the same as stefans. So I made you a wonderful video.

From where I was standing to the camera is 60'. I accidently hit the camera, like 3 or 4 times. It has very good acuracy and I am currently getting ranges of about 105' with an AR removal and a new DT3 spring added in there that I had to cut down a little.

Haha, at first I was just kinda shooting at random but then I was trying to hit below the camera so you could see the darts flying. Too bad I hit it a couple times.

I got it from my broken Defender T3. I cut it down to the same length as the Longshot spring. It is a little heavier gauge of wire and way stronger.

There have been a few mods that kirby hasn't added to the directory yet. I think he might be on vacation somewhere or maybe he is done with nerf. Who knows.

Alright, I've got it open. How do you take out the plunger tube? I'm trying to yank it out, but the sucker seems stuck in.
EDIT: Bah, never mind, I got it out.

What do you think is the best way to go about nesting a brass barrel? The one I have just slides right in. Should I wrap e-tape around the barrel?

Help me, for I am n00b.

P.S. Has anyone managed to make a homemade clip? I can't stand having two.

I replaced the spring with one from my old Airsoft springer. it's the same length,but the CPI (coils per inch) is tighter at about 20 as opposed to about 5. I prefer not to glue anything.

Well, this sucks I took out the air restrictors and added a nf spring. But the longshot is
misfiring alot. sometimes it only goes like two feet... I thought I put it together right. I need
help.

Just got mine yesterday, and nearly killed it trying to get it back together. I like even in it's stock form, because it's so weak, that if I shoot my brothers in the head with it, they can't complain because it's so damn weak. How much should I shorten my BBB spring if I'm going to put it in? What is the width of the brass or PETG ( 9/16? ) ?

Okay never mind. I fixed it. I also put in an actual nitefinder spring and not an industrial
strength one. It works just as well and I can still rapid fire with it.

Sorry for the bump, but I have a quick question.

To those who removed the rod that the dart fits over--How did you remove it? It seems like it would be hard to get a cutting tool down in that tiny barrel, and so far I can't figure out how. I need to remove it for it to be able to shoot my Stefans with little or no hole in the back.

Actually, I managed to get it out. Not in the "best" way, but it ended up turning out well.

I just took a cylindrical object (in this case, a head-changeable screwdriver minus the head) and pushed down on the rod until it snapped off. When it came off, it incidentally left a little bit of the reinforcement plastic on the barrel, so the darts won't get shoved too far down, but still without the rod. This enabled me to use my Stefans in the clip with no jamming and great amounts of power (I also took out the air restrictor, obviously) The Stefans I made are about as long as the foam part alone of the Streamline darts, so about 1/3 or so of an inch shorter than stock. But I'm pleased that they work so well. I can see where ones that were too short (maybe less than 1.5 inches or something) wouldn't get pushed far enough into the barrel to create a good seal and thus not work as well.

Anyway, just thought I would share my results.

I cut three rings off my bbb spring and it hits 100' on some shots.

My PETG won't fit because the breech won't close over the plastic when it's in there (I think its 1/2") but 9/16 will work.

Help, I have the original Longshot spring and a BBB spring in there and it only shoots about 20 feet. Also does anyone know how to get the actual plunger tube out of the blue frame that it is in? Please reply soon, I have very little time before my skirmish.

I am slightly disappointed. I cut about 3/4 of an inch off the BBB spring, and after reassembleing it, I did a range test. With stock darts, the highest range was 70 feet. But this could be because I did not have the front gun attached. It also misfires fairly frequently ( about 2-3 out of every 6 shots). I have not tested with CDTS's yet, though. I did remove the air restricters, too. Anyone know how I could achieve these 90-120 ranges everyone is getting?

AODL it sounds like you didn't put the gun back together correctly.
I would suggest opening it back up and rechecking that everything is in place, because with 3/4ths of the BBB spring cut off it shouldn't be misfiring at all.
As for the ranges, adding the front gun will decrease ranges and the CDTS are the way to go for this gun.

I can't get the orange cocking peice off the metal rod to mod the gun. I read in another thread someone said to pry it with a screw driver. I tried yesterday and it won't come off. I was prying so hard I was afraid I would break the shell. Any other ideas of how to get it off?

Navey seal, use a flat head screw driver as a lever to pop the cocking piece off. nice easy slow pressed down (so the head moves up).

I have no idea what is wrong with my longshot, I took out all the air restrictors, the peg is also out completly, and I have a tight o-ring and spring. It jams 95% of the time only once it shot really good. So could you please give me some advice?
