Just wondering what the average height is here, it should be interesting to see. Sorry for the small range of heights, but I wanted it to incorporate the height of 6'4, which is how tall I am.

What the hell I'm bored. I'm on the taller side I'd guess, as I am 6' 1''. Compare that! <_<

That's awsome, but what's better is that there are people signed up in both categories.

I feel sorry for you people being so tall; you life expectancy has been shortened dramatically.

The bigger they are, the harder, and earlier they fall.

I'm 5' 11" and I dearly hope that I don't grow anymore. I may suck at basketball, but who likes basketball anyway?

EDIT:

Actually, more on the subject of height and less on the bashing of tall people who generically think they're better than everyone else, there's this kid at my highschool in grade 9 and he's 6'9". Being that tall at so young an age is ridiculous and is probably hell on his knees and back.

I can definately attest to the hitting of the head, as I am also 6'4". Though it's not so hard of my knees because I'm done growing (I hope...). One thing that I really don't like, though, is that I'm so much taller than everyone else I know. They're all average height, but if I'm around the same people that are a little on the short side for too long, I start to realize that I'm looking down on them (only literally. I don't think I'm better than them just because I'm taller). Gets quite annoying after a while. And also it's the first thing that people see about you. Also annoying. Anybody feel the same?

I;m like 5' 7" and theres this kid in my grade( 8 th) and he is 6' 7" , 310 LBS, and a size 18 in shoe. And he doesn't play any sports. He could dominate in like every sport.

Heh, I'm 5'2" and 90 pounds, also in 8th grade. I'm good at running in short spurts though, I use a Powerclip and can usually win by running down my opponent.

Being short also rocks because I never hit my head on things.

I'm 6'1", which is, as far as I'm considered, about the ideal height; you're well above average (which is defined as 5'7" overall, but it varies by ethnicity) but not so tall that you look down on everybody, yet not so short that you have to look up at most people. It's all good. ^_^

Yeah, I enjoy my 6'2" height, I am above average and get the reach that others lack. Which helps in climbing, running, swiming... Just about everything that I do... Except weightlifting. It hurts there, I've got to leverage things farther. And already being a lightweight isn't helping.

I pretty much am happy with my height, but the real question is this: Who isn't happy with their height around here? And why aren't you happy about it? What would you change? BW said he likes being average/short because he won't die as fast as us tall people, I've said that I like it for my athletics. It'd be interesting to see what people think.

I'd like to shave only like 2" off, just so that I'm above average and still fairly tall (the 2" would make me 6'2"), but not so freakishly tall as far as the people around me. There's a guy at my school, Junior in HS like me, that's about 6'8", but looks like he weighs 110 pounds. I'm very glad I'm not him. ^_^

I enjoy being an even 6', and I can run fast and jump pretty high because of it. It helps in nerf 'cause I can jump over my brother's 4' bunkers easily, and it's really hard to hit me when I'm running. (I just need to work on my aim, now.)

I do hit my head ALOT, though. It must be really bad for the 6'4"+ guys.

6' 7" , 310 LBS, and a size 18 in shoe. And he doesn't play any sports. He could dominate in like every sport.

I have a friend like that, except he's in 11th grade. He could toss a football player into the air with one hand, yet he hates all sports. And shoes that big really get expensive.

Hmmm...ok.

I'm 5'9". Pretty much average, so I have no complaints or bragging rights. I'm a senior this year, and we have a 6'8" kid playing defense in hockey. It's really funny to watch all these smaller guys try to hit him. They get thrashed from it more than he does.

It was more a joke, I'm sorry if I offended anyone.

I have a very tall teacher (6'6") and he tells us all about how hard it is for him to always hunch over to talk to people and such, and that his knees always hurt and everything. I feel bad for him because he's in alot of pain sometimes.

I like being my height because I can say I'm not short, but I'm not tall. I don't have to look down or up most of the time to see people, so it's a stress off of my neck.

However, it'd be cool to see the world from you tall guys' perspective. I've never had the chance to dodge a doorframe or see over the privacy fence. I think it'd be cool to try out for a day.

For the record...

Starbuck= 6'5" 241 lbs.

As a tight end going across the middle on a drag, a 5'8" defensive back is killer on the knees.

Ow.

I agree, also being 6' 1", that it is a good height. That way I am taller than average and it has never caused me any pain or problems. Although I do have some nasty strech-scars on my lower back since I grew so fast when I was a kid. Hopefully Black Wrath's comment isn't really true though because then I'll really be screwed. You see, I'm also left-handed and it's proven that left-handed people have a significantly shortened life expectancy. Not to mention I already have a heart condition... ^_^ Ah well, live life to the fullest I guess :D

I'm a good 5'9, but even that's too tall for gymnastics. It sucks when everyone else groans about me moving the (parralel bars for example) higher just so my feet don't skim the mats.

Gymnastics has given me abilities to flip over my nerfing opponents.

I'm 5'4", but then again, just started growing a lot recently.

I, as well, am left handed.
Their "proof" that left handers have a lower life expectancy is true, but it's because left handers have more problems in life due to using the other hand, so they are more prone to becoming alcoholics. Being an alcoholic is what lowers it. So, if you just stay away from alcohol, you'll be fine.

To be honest with you guys, my comment is actually true. Taller people's hearts beat harder and more often in order to pump blood to the head and outer extremities because they're further away and have more veins/arteries. It only becomes a large issue when someone is largely over-average im height, usually when approaching 6'2" and onward.

I don't wish death upon tall people, I'm just saying that's it's a physical truth that it's harder for a larger body to live as long.

Keep excercising and eating right, and keep that heart healthy; and you'll be fine.

Of all the forum pissing-contests, this is my least favorite. I'm glad someone started a topic to contain it, but it still makes me cringe. In some topic or other, somebody will say "oh, that gun's way to small for a big guy like me, i'm 6'3", that's big". Then someone else say's "OH I KNOW, I'M 6'4" ZOMG", which is followed by a string of idiots carrying on about their height, strength, 1337 skillz, and other useless outbursts of machismo. These sorts of things also come up a lot with how heavy your blasters are, and how much it hurts to get hit with a stefan (which of course they can take because they're real men). You're playing with plastic children's toys. It doesn't have to hurt to be fun, and I'll take a blaster I can run with over a blaster I can sit on my ass and brag about any day.

Also, I'd like to see people chill out a bit with the MilSim thing. As I said, these are toys, and you're just messing around. You don't need camouflage, you don't need "recon", you don't need walkie talkies, you need a few friends and a backyard. Did anyone else see the picture of our old buddy SolidiusSaint wearing full woodland camo (gloves, balaklava, fatigues, hat, all leafy woodland camouflage) IN THE SNOW? Come on. Now you know it's just for show. If you do it on your own time, it's fine, but...this is NERF, and I'm tired of seeing this crap all over.

Ok, I'm done now.

Lose your sanity?

It's just, well, bothersome to me. Not just this thread, but all the people who come here trying to be badass. I don't so much mind the people who contributed to the thread, as it's a perfectly legit discussion, but the creation of it just irks me, especially since I see the same pissing contest so much. I like nerf because it's NOT badass. It's just fun.
