I, For One, Welcome Our New Ass-kicking Overlords

When you start avoiding your web site because you know it's gonna be full of More Shit I Gotta Do, it's time for change.
We now have 5 shiny robotic Ambassadors here to serve our every n00b ass-kicking pleasure. You're already familiar with Shindig and Talio holding the line, and Ompa has been doing the job for ages with only a custom title to back up his authority. These three will be joined by two guys who have been around pretty much forever and have graciously agreed to help clean this place up. Death and Pineapple will, effective immediately, be herding the pissants into small, defenseless groups for summary execution.
But wait, there's more! Now how much would you pay? You also get two new Founders absolutely free! From the "giving credit where due" department, we've decided to promote two people who have been here since the beginning and have given loads of their valuable time to make this site what it is. Groove and Julie will be joining The Sacred Triumverate as we look down upon you and pass judgement. Or light our own farts, depending.
Let me be the first to extend my congratulations to Ompa, Death, Pineapple, Groove, and Julie on their new positions!

That would explain what happened to hocken and all those other guys who were new at about the time I joined the NIC...
Carbonite. Wow. Can I assume that the temperatures were purposerfully mis-calibrated to ensure that the effects of "hibernation" weren't so easily revsrsed?
Congrats to all the "new guys".
And Piney, you're "the wind beneath my wings".

Good choices, I must say.Let me be the first to extend my congratulations to Ompa, Death, Pineapple, Groove, and Julie on their new positions!
We always had their help, but now they've got that handy button that Talio has been talking about for the longest time!
Good luck to you new body guards, this place needs some support. Julie and Groove had always been founders, so it's about time they were recognized.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

Shuweet; I'm just thinking to myself that, since reaction times before were, well, "mangelhaft," they should be like five times better now, epecially since I've seen ompa and Piney on every morning/night (for me, living EST) now...
Well, congrats peoples! Better not make too much blimey come about from all this, eh?

If it hurts your eyes and makes your stomach turn, chances are that it's going to do the same to us...and we'll do our best to clean it up. Proactively, if it's possible.
Thanks for the opportunity to be of service to you.

You have to read more and post less or something, bud. Death has been around since the beginning and has become more active recently. You'll see that he has posted in topics pointing retards in the right direction fairly often.
He's definitely going to be part of this site's turn-around.
Not in the game anymore, but it was great while it lasted. Thanks for the great years of fun, NH!

Unlike people who post about 100 times a month and don't have much to say? Riiight.Well I haven't heard much about him because he doesn't post too much.
Everything you need to know about the power structure on NH:
Founders > j00
Ambassadors > j00

At any rate guys and gal enjoy your new (and abusable ) powers and fight the good fight.
**Political side note: George Bush doesn't or can't pronounce the two syllables of Terror, so obviously we have been fighting a war on Tear, Tearists, and tearrism for the last four years rather than Terror, Terrorists and terrorism. Hopefully the textile industry is looking into better ways to prevent tears for the US government.
Don't forget to eat your meat based vegetable substitute children.

Cxwq, how many members do you think you will be getting rid of? If you are getting rid of many, what is the rubric you are going by to choose which ones?
Also, Congratulations to all of you... Happy exocutioning.
Hey, thanks for the well-wishes. I'll answer this one for cx.
I myself am not in a happy habit of choppin' everything down in my path, but it's kind of like weeding. Just the things that are keeping the fields from growing, we will identify, amend, then terminate. Makes room for new and fruitful growth. It's not rocket science.
About the rubric; it's simple, really; I'll even put it in print, this time.
Code of Conduct
Think Before You Post.
Don't post unless you have something (useful or beneficial) to say
Avoid AIM-style spelling (lol, u, ne, ppl, etc)
Avoid 1337-speak (s0 |_@m3)
Use capitalization and punctuation correctly
Don't double-post - use the edit button.
Don't post in months-old topics unless you have something significant to add
Don't ask questions that have been answered already - use the built-in search function and try Google first
Acceptable Post Content
No Pr0n links or images
No spam
Stay on topic
No plagiarism
No pointless flames
Creation of multiple accounts will result in deletion of all accounts.
Your Posting Privileges
If you break any of the above rules, the NerfHaven staff can, and very likely will, delete your account with little or no warning. If you repeatedly troll or spam on this forum I will personally ensure that your Internet access is terminated within two (2) working days.
If you understand rule number one (think before posting), that alone subsequently carries all the rest of the rules along.
Fourteen simple rules. It should be duck soup.
Notice also that the italicized latter title says posting "privileges". Some people mistake these as posting "rights". Wrong one there.
Oppose these rules = weeds.

Sorry to break it to you, but NerfHaven isn't an RPG. Your post number isn't equivalent to kill count, and there's no clan ranking. I hope you really don't care that much about a "ranking" here on the 'Haven, or your post number.Well I haven't heard much about him because he doesn't post too much.

Some of you may have noticed my diminished presence around here. I assure you that my decline will continue so long as the digits in my course numbers increase. Rock bottom is expected the semester before I graduate.

Keep a close lookout on the trading section. Alot of you're typical, annoying n00b behavior goes on there.

Locked and loaded.**I see a large influx of NHQ members coming in the near future. Hopefully they're ready.
I imagine we will become stricter on issues such as, "Back-seat moderation,"* with everything else much the same.
