Bring your walker to Armageddon so we can all laugh at you.
If the road to recovery gets rough....take heart in the knowledge that you are now, officially, a cyborg. A fact which inspires jealousy from many in the general public.

I second the motion.Bring your walker to Armageddon so we can all laugh at you.
We should duct tape PC's to it and have you try it for a round.
Now that'd make for some killer footage...

Cx isn't exactly happy with the new CTF area. We all know it.
However, if attendance for Armageddon this year ends up being as big as it looks, the adjacent park is not going to be big enough. It's been nearly a year since I've played at the Venado CTF area (Armageddon last year, to be exact) and I had completely forgotten just how long the field actually was.
SOOOooooo....
This saturday (tomorrow), when Baghead's in town we're having a little skirmish (like 6-8 people). We're going to look into cover/boundaries etc. between the main Junglegym and the smaller one right on the boundary by the park. Both are still on the School's campus, but are a good deal farther apart than the park allows for a CTF field. We've played there before, but it didn't really ahve enough cover to sufficiently allow us to do much anything except "assault the fortress" games with the main Junglegym.
There are two things we overlooked.
1) The CTF area at Venado didn't have all that much cover either. It's just a rolling field with some interesting hill-type terrain and some trees. But there aren't really all that many trees there either...
It's pretty much open. Better for running.
2) We use trash cans. LOTS of trash cans. It hadn't occurred to us to move the cans over there to increase the amount of cover. The amount of trash cans we bring is just enough to even out the amount of cover on both ends, since there's a relatively dense tree cover on one end, and there's open grass at the other end.
With that large of an area between the two junglegyms on campus, we can set up the cans how we want, and spread them out to basically mimic how things were at Venado's CTF field. It can be changed every round if we really want to as well.
What I'm getting at is really this:
Armageddon is (according to what posts of Cx I've read) going to be primarily held in the Urban area. I know how much he, Seijin, and Ray (you guys) like CTF, so I'm assuming that this is due to the lackluster CTF field.
If it seems like it would work out when we take a look at tit this weekend, would you guys be willing to try this new field out at YANO in hopes of finding a decent place for some good CTF here too?

That said, the main reason I suggested that Armageddon will primarily be held in the urban area is because urban 5-hit wars rock and we've been thrown out of our urban area for too long. New urban area is the hotness.

.... I highly doubt that one Falc, It's been raining here in the 951, and that usualy means it's on it's way to G-town, so We may not actualy play today....This saturday (tomorrow), when Baghead's in town we're having a little skirmish (like 6-8 people). ...Srcatch that... Rain stopped, and it was fucking awesome.
I have to agree, the Cullen Urban Area Kicks Ass.

just kidding...
Actually, you'd be hard pressed to hit them with a singled titan/5k across the playing area. Should be big enough. There's a handball wall in the area too, so that should add some flavor (like the one in front of the alamo) among other things.
This is where I'm talking about:
Lots of room for altering the boundaries smaller or larger...lots of room for 25-30+ people...

The Grid is in the upper left corner of that pic. It's not the area I boxed in.
Sorry...do you have to change your pants again?
In the meantime, I went by today for a post skirmish sweep. Bags, what the hell am I supposed to do with all these freaking pink-painted darts? I found like 25-30 of them...

Still, that's a lot of darts. How is it that we're always SO stinkin' blind at the end of a day, and then the next day, I find darts sitting on the ground directly where I/we were standing for like 1/2 hour or more...
Whatever.

Number one, I'm going to be in Canada from Thursday (April 13) through next Sunday (April 16), so I won't be around to answer questions then.
That wouldn't be a problem (not that anyone needs to ask me anything really, anyway).
But thn, there's number two. All of the following week, I will be unable to access the internet. Monday through friday.
So this is to remind everybody of the upcoming YANO, as it is going to be the day after my internet gives back my capability to look at the forums.
I look forward to seeing everybody there. It's going to be a lot of fun.
The Knights are eagerly looking forward to another foam-filled day. We're having a larger skirmish on monday, the 10th, so we'll be checking around to make sure the place is in good shape/no problems, etc.
And Ray, keep that leg put up. I can't see Armageddon (specifically THIS armageddon) happening without you!
Cx, we're still dying to know what new heat you're packing...
And I'll have a CD for you (just for the hell of it, as a suggestion) with a single track on it that I've made with my Sound Editor. It's a proposed soundtrack for the upcoming Armagedon, which I think you all will like...
See you all in 15 days!
Yours in Foam,
-Falcon

I don't want to own Cx and Spoon in a pistol war again! We were bored for quite sometime last time. In fact, even Cx was pretty late. At first it was just me and Spoon standing around. This was a sad morning. I mean, seriously, who would want to be seen in public with spoon!?
Just messin.
Seriously though, I'd like to get a WHOLE day in.

Sasquatch, as mentioned, will be late.
Attendance list from us is looking like:
Myself
Apollo
Speed
Chronic
Sputnik
Snake
Panda
Dorito (Yes, he'll be there; one in every crowd...I think we've improved him a little bit, though...)
Sasquatch
Sage
Akai
Possibility of one more...
Regarding Akai...
Cx, just a little reminder that he will have $25 in hand at 10 on Saturday for a Maxshot that we have discussed previously. Granted, you usualy have several with you anyway, but the fact remains.
See you all then.
My internet hasn't been disconnected quite yet, but regardless, I forgot I have Cad (drafting) 1st period anyway. It randomly block some threads (the ROP department tries, but fails to block message boards and the like) but I should at least be able to check up on things in the mornings this week.
I must say, though, cx...
What an intersting, "friendly" new look this place has...

tony has to do something for youth group now, so we've lost him, ah poo stuff. on another note, Pilz and Shwa said they should be good for the next two wars though.
