It was a mock scope, but it works to some extent. It's not red dot b/c that would cost too much.

The clip IS NOT part of the barrel like the sawtooth. It works entirely different. The clip itself is very small.

The way the 2 guns snap together, the front blaster is just a barrel extension. It fires on its own from another barrel below that one.

As far as it not being a decent primary, as soon as I see you out there NERFING, I'll believe you even need a primary.

My initial reaction to the Magstrike was very, very positive. The overall design looks very sleek, and the stock with the bladder is a welcome addition. It feels and looks great. Overall, I would agree with OMC that this blaster is looking to have alot of potential for us. The clips are fucking awesome. The belt clips are also goddamn genious, and the clips feel much more solid than the PC clips.

The Longshot is, for lack of a better word, awesome. It does shoot very well for being so complicated, and man - it shoulders nicely. I'm not sure I find the front blaster very appealing, however, the scope and the rail system are an innovative and welcome "addition" to the series. I know alot of people that play stock will love that, being able to swap scopes onto their Mavericks (which looks so fucking cool) and such. Another thing that's very appealing is the Longshot's clip system. It's like a real clip.

Very impressed with the designs, overall I can't wait for this Fall when these guys hit the shelves.

Well that is all and very cool, but when Groove said "it's like a real clip." Does that mean that it uses a spring to advance each dart into the blaster, if so how did they solve the problem of darts crushing?

This is very good news. Looks like those PCs in my closet will decrease in value, damnit. I'd like to try out the Magstrike, and I'd also love to get a look at the internals of the Longshot. We'll just have to wait until they are released in stores to get a decent idea on how easily they can be modded. However, I have complete confidence that some of our modders will conquer those guns.

Yes, the darts are a new design that work with the clip. You really have to see it to understand.

The extra clips thing is still up in the air.

Well, I hope they sell extra clips. And don't you think they will be released late summer? Usually recent Nerf guns have been released earlier than stated.

Since the Longshot clips use collarless darts, does that mean that it's incapable of using any other kind of ammo? Also, were the collars simply removed, or are the darts themselves wider?

The darts only work with the new streamline ammo. The foam hasn't changed. All that has changed is the tip.

How many shot's from the front gun of the Longshot or does it use the same clip system? Is there another name for it?

I have a request:
The barrel scheme is kind of confusing. Could someone who did examine the gun please take that image and in paint draw lines seperating the different guns and showing the dart flow from the back through the front of the gun.

Could we get a simple diagram of the darts?

Yes, there is a spring in the clip. And I believe it functions as an actual clip would (I didn't exactly rip it apart) but I did get a chance to inspect it. The spring doesn't seem too strong, so it doesn't exactly squish the foam. It seems just strong enough to keep them up and push them up. It's got a semi-circular hood on the top of the clip to keep the darts snug inside the clip.
