I am digging the magstrike very much. I dont mind a set of shades commin with it but I really have no need for a kids tagger vest. Who knows I might bust out the mannequin and have it at the end of the room for target practice. I sure as hell wont take a sword to it though.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

I think the Longshot would look like a Halo 2 Battle Rifle if you leave the scope on and took off the pistol attached to the front.

i actually think (Now that i've seen the pics) that without the pistol on the front it looks like the unreal 2 assualt rifle-thing

And from the look of it, there will be TWO versions of the magstrike, red & blue, to go with the dart tag sets

All i can say is this:

Red PC with a stock and better range = awesome

(EDIT: For those asking length...\/\/\/)

Edit: This monster is about 12 of it's clips long, now assuming it's micros are the normal length (i think they are 3") ones, just with a new cup, and assuming the clip is about the same length as the darts, this beast is 30"-36" long

Pic: http://img163.images...ength1012tg.jpg

Yes, i selected the bottom of the farthest over clip, and repeatedly pasted & numbered it, but it gives you an idea, and theres a small gap between each pasting

I was just thinking, but I hope these blasters don't become to popular in wars. If they turn out to be so good, that everyone started using them, then there would be no diversity in wars. I know everyone has their own style, but these guns cover almost everything.

You skipped the number 4 in the picture...

Yeah, that was pretty funny.

So the gun is bloody huge. That doesn't make it a great blaster in my opinion. It needs to be weildly for me to even consider using it. I hope that foregrip/gun pops off and takes atleast a 1' off of the end.

Wow...for the first time in a long time, I am truly hyped up about Hasbro's Nerf offerings. The Magstrike looks like an assaulter's dream, and the longshot just looks to be pure fun. Only, I am at odds of which I will buy first...what are the MSRPs of them?

Good point, I'll have to tell my 6 foot 5 friend. He looks rediculous using a Maverick.

Do you mean with an integration or what? Because size doesn't have anything to do with performance...
Ten points to anyone that didn't think what I just did when reading that.

Thanks OMC, Talio and Groove. This is always the best part when we see pictures of the guns. Hasbro's really pumping out the guns, it's been less than a year since we saw the pics of the Firefly and DTB for the first time and the Crossfire was a nice surprise in between.

Thanks again, it can't be said enough how lucky we are as a community to have you guys.

While the new guns look promising, I don't think anyone needs to worry much about Nerf wars losing much variety. The LS is *not* a weapon you're going to be running around with. I mean...look at it! That monster is something you're going to want to flop down atop some elevation, and pick people off with. Or dig yourself in and cover ground. Moving with it with any kind of obstacle around will be annoying at best. If you're dashing about with the pistol taken off the front, that barrel alone is going to catch on stuff.

This doesn't mean it's unusable of course, it just means finding a proper place for it.

As for the Magstrike? True it looks good. But it may be harder to mod than its ancestor. And people won't easily give up the primaries they've treasured for years. No, the battlefield won't suddenly become a two-gun game. Not as long as experienced veterans continue using diverse weaponry, requiring adaptation on the part of those who'd ordinarly be happy using just the two new guns. (Plus you have to take the price into consideration. While definitely affordable considering what you get, you have to realize that many may not be able to afford anything more than a Maverick or NF.)

Of course you could just give the LS to your biggest guy. :) If he runs around with the gun on his shoulder instead of at the ready, it may survive long enough to be of some use. ;)

For those who were wondering what the LongShot would look like without the front pistol; I also Photochopped out the scope and bi-pod.
*snip*
This gun is the greatest thing I've ever seen...ever.

Just to respond to LittleB's post: The primary barrel of the LS is indeed the top barrel, not the bottom. As you can see from the holes in forearm of the blaster, the white showing through kind of indicates a lack of a barrel there.

I think Hasbro should not only sell seperate clips for both the Longshot and the Magstrike, but also sell seperate clips with different dart capacities.
For example: 5, 10, 15, and maybe, 20 dart clips for the Longshot.

i mean as in rebarreling the 2 togeter (9/16ths brass nested in some larger brass over the pistol) because if you look at the pistol, the plunger seems to cock under the barrel, so you can fire the 2 guns seperately when it's still together

Meaning, it'll have 1 long range shot (Main) and the second shorter range shot from the front pistol, add in a small sidearm (NF or LnL) and you are set, but this is all speculation up until i actually have the gun sitting in front of me

For all i know, i might be able to shoot micro-size stefans with it stock and not need to rebarrel it :)

Well, after that extremely long session of pissing myself, I have to say, there is nothing more I can think of to want. I wanted a clip-loaded, bolt action rifle that I didn't have to build and incorperated somehow into the N-STRIKE line, for pimpage factor. I wanted a PC.
I have the former, and an even better version of the latter. If you'll excuse me, I'm going to stop controling myself for a moment...

Now, where was I?
Oh yes, of course. Excellent job to the engineering department of Hasbro, to all of you, I tip my hat. Thank you for listening to our prayers.
September, huh? I can't wait.
This makes you wonder... what ELSE is on the drawing over at Hasbro HQ?

Some members were mentioning free barrel space in the Longshot that will allow for integration. This reminded me of the Lanard Blast Bazooka, so I put both pics next to each other as a visual aid.
