This sounds like a stepping stone in nerfing. Just think, they pushed out single shots, so we made clips, they pushed out a piece of crap like the AT2K (stock) and we make it into one of the cheapest, most powerful guns out there. This could really be something. What else are our minds capable of imagining with these new guns?

I agree.

I also get amused watching everyone practically fall over themselves when they get word of releases coming up...tracking everyone's speculations and hopes and expectations as the time draws nearer...everyone harassing OMC and Talio and getting their asses ragged for doing so...getting worked up on the picture releases in summer...

Then, everyone complaining that the blasters are too hard to modify, posting about "OMG can someone help me?", or "my Mav can shoot 100 feet! "

It's a vicious cycle that gets spawned every spring.

Like when the N-Strike was in it's initial summer 'preview'.

Or this thread, just last year, when the Firefly and Dart Tags were being previewed.

Nerf will only die in the hearts and minds of those who choose to give up on it.

Even if Nerf didn't release anything I'd still come up with mods for the craploads of older blasters that are still all out there, as with the 'also-ran' brands (i.e. Lanard, BuzzBee, etc.)

Speculating on what the new blasters will be like, perform, etc. is fun, but I'll just shut my trap and wait...then drop my VISA and bite the bullet, like I have, year after year...

Hopefully these guns dont bomb out like the firefly.

I'm not certain on that statement, the Firefly is pretty popular with the indoor war crowd, it's still fresh in my son's hands (thus I can't take it apart yet ^_^ ), but sure, it doesn't get as much attention as say, Mavericks nowadays, but I also think that everyone thinks for a minute or two before hacking apart something they (or their parents) just laid out $25 for. An 8 dollar Mav is much easier to part with if you screw up. Just an assumption.

No matter. I'm still dedicated to my old-school (by today's standards) SM 5000 and my AirTechs.

Well, at least the Magstrike is going to be air powered. The 'airsmith' is happy on that one.

I'm going to bet it's just a re-released PC with removable clips, with nothing else changed minus a color scheme.

But the CS? Ooooh I'm interested to see how that one turns out.

It will also come with a stock.

Pump up the action with the NERF DART TAG MAGSTRIKE blaster, the first NERF rapid fire blaster with a clip reloading system! With a rapid firing air pressure system that allows kids to quickly blast foam darts at their opponents and a stock for comfortable blasting and pumping, this awesome blaster brings great fast-paced fun to the popular NERF DART TAG line.

So, imagine a PC with removeable clips and a stock.

I don't get how anyone could not like this, waiting and speculating on new guns. I love reading what others think they will be like and being so excited to see the pictures. It's almost more fun waiting for the guns than it is using them!

I just don't get why Nerf is changing so much...stocks, scopes, bipods...it looks like they're targeting people between 13 and 16 or around there. Like others have probably said, I don't think a scope and bipod mean good stock range, they could, but I really doubt it.

I'm content with my current arsenal but I'll still buy one of each of these new guns just to check them out; they sound so awesome I can hardly wait.

True. But hearing of a pistol with 'laser sight' didn't sound too promising, but the NF blew us all away. My hopes are for the best.

True, it's like the rain before the thunder storm or something along those lines, except in a good way. This is a situation just like the firefly, but it was a disappointment, under certain circumstances like outdoor warfare. Even if they suck, we can still make them not half-bad guns. We've done it before, there's no reason we can't do it now, or in Fall, or something. Unless something crazy happens like PVC productions stopand the world's brass supplies run out, then we are literally screwed, literally, well not literally, but kind of literally, but not all the way. How many times can you place "literally" in a sentence? Untill you start questioning yourself on why it sounds that way. This is totally useless, off-topic, and non-tolerable, but I think that all those "literally" deserve a reason to existing. I do this to my teachers and it drives them crazy. Does it drive you crazy reading it? If so, stop now. If not, I suggest you stop right now. This could lead to intense moments of stupidity like the state I'm in right now.

The NERF N-STRIKE LONGSHOT CS-6... And, with an awesome reloading clip system, refilling your blaster has never been faster.

Hmm... the more I read this and the more that I think about it (I know speculation isn't good)...

It sounds like the magazine system uses stripper clips sorta' like my SuperMaxx 1000 (seen here). They call them reloading clips implying they're used for reload only and not as a functioning part of the gun.

The Powerclip used a clip that was a fuctioning part of the gun, but was not first to use a clip. The Sawtooth used the clip system and its clips were functioning pieces of the gun. It says the Magstrike is the first with "clip reloading system" which sounds like stripper clips.

Well they said for the magstrike that it came with two reload clips and twenty tagger darts. That means that it must have 10 rounds per clip like the PC.

Well you couldn't reload a PC with a clip, nor could you reload with another clip(originally). Therefore the Magstrike is the first rapid fire NERF gun with a clip reloading system.

I really hope that it is just a PC with a removeable clip. I have wanted to get my hands on a PC since I started nerfing.

Well the cs is advertised as the longest blaster ever so if it bombs drop another guns internals in it and you'll have a pretty nice gun. And starbuck, I think you're going a little too far with that bit of speculation, you gotta remember nerf darts are squishy and wouldn't take too kindly to that sort of treatment without shells. More likely that the press release guys got their description a little off, not everbody is well versed in gun vocabulary.

The press release does NOT say this is the first Nerf gun with a clip reloading system.

It DOES say this is the first rapid fire blaster with a clip reloading system.

The Powerclip was rapid-fire, but the clip was not removable for quick reload. The Sawtooth had a removable clip reloading system, but was not rapid fire.

It still seems most likely that this is just a Powerclip with a removable magazine.

It still seems most likely that this is just a Powerclip with a removable magazine.

Which is probably still a good enough reason to pick it up. The PC was hugely popular when it came out, and is one of the most fun guns nerf has made period.
I hope they have improved the internals to give it just a bit more power. Likely as not the Magstrike will be to the Power Clip as the Rapidfire 20 was to the Wildfire; a cosmetic upgrade with a new feature and improved internals.

I'm going to hold my breath on the CS-6. If the best feature on it is that it is the 'longest nerf gun ever' rather than something like 'farthest shooting' 'most accurate' or 'most powerful' I'm not particularly impressed. Best to wait and see what it is that nerf is actually delivering before we get too excited.

Yeah, it could just mean that you can stretch it out a little closer to your enemy and shoot him; like a NiteFinder on an extension pole. [/sarcastic bad humor]

That's the best advice I can think of, too. Although it's amusing to see everyone's speculations and hopes.

Just as a warning to all those getting their hopes up about a stock scoped nerf gun... and the almost certain amazing range needed for a scope...
I guarantee you that the scope will be just a tube with clear plastic at each end... maybe a clear sticker with a crosshair on it, too.
And nerforbust, I don't think that a 2-gun set will combine to look like a FAMAAS... because it will have to have two handle/trigger sets when assembled.

I may regret these words when the guns come out, but here goes:
The CS-6 will be a rip off at $30, and the only reasons it has a scope and bipod is because 1) Hasbro wants teenagers who are loosing interest in Nerf and switching to airsoft to keep buying their stuff, and 2) anything is cooler with a bipod and scope.

I disagree, as we've already seen that sort of thing on Nerf before. The Rachetblast has a tube with a crosshair in it...no plastic lenses, but the effect is the same. Nope, I think it'll actually be a scope. A plastic-lensed, low power telescope sort of thing, but a definite scope.

That being said, I think you're right that the greatest selling points of this gun are going to be purely cosmetic. I'd love to be wrong, though.

If you are excited about the practical uses of a scope in nerf, you do not belong on this site.

In regards to the rest of this topic, I am not one for speculation about nerf guns, especially without pictures in front of me. I just don't get it.

I think I have a very good guess of what the magstrike will be like. This is my concept, since they give you 2 clips they are obviously interchangable so I think(lets say the magstrike fires 10 darts) that you load 10 darts to a turret of 10 darts fire and then take off the turret and replace it with the other turret.

To get on the scope topic. Please the scope will be just like the EAB "scope" but may be tinited red or what not. I'm assuming the bipod may be decent because I don't know how youy could have an unusable bipod.

Actually, I'd bet dollars to donuts that it will be extremely similar to the crap that adorned the Ratchetblast. As a quick search of Veterans' comments on the subject would show, there is never a need for maginfying optics on Nerf weaponry. Nerf guns just aren't accurate enough for such equipment to be reliable, nor do foam darts have the velocity and range necessary to make such an enhancement viable.

Another good reason to ignor a scope on a nerf gun is that the darts are also vunderable to the wind. Unless you are nerfing indoors where wind isn't a factor, but then you don't really need longer ranged guns do you?
