I just don't stop producin the mods folks:

Here it is, my Sawtooth:

Posted Image

Some of you may recall me mentioning this gun and refrenceing it as the SHWATOOTH, that was because shwa, a member of my clan owned it for a while, but he traded it back to me for a DTG (he said it didn't work all that good) so I took it back and went to town on it. I did a spring replacement, and cleaned up the clip a little more.

The Specs:

Gun: Nerf Sawtooth

Spring: SM 350, yes it's actualy a better spring than the stock sawtooth one.

Clip: 3 Sawtooth clips fused together, crayoled to shoot micros.

here's a pic of the clip:

Posted Image

I'll try to get more detailed pics of the clip soon, my camera is being iffy right now.

Ranges for the BC sawtooth:

Stock TAgger Darts:

Flat average 45-55 feet

angled average 60-70 feet

Micro stefans:

Flat Average: 40-50 feet

Angled average: 55-65 feet

I know it's strange that the stefans produced less range, but i think that is due to the fact that my stefans are a little small for crayola barrels.

Sweet job man. The clip looks a little bent. Have you done anything to help prevent it from jamming? What are the ranges?
  • 0
I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

the bend is mainly from the angle of my camera, It took alot of work to keep this thing from jamming, but now i have it really clean along the edge that makes contact with the sawtooth itself and it works quite well. the only jamming problems i'm running into come during the last couple of shots because the clip is a little heavy.

Next you'll need to coax even decent spring-pistol range out of that sucker, then I'll be pleased.

The Sawtooth has a small plunger tube and poor seals, not to mention the spring is mediocre at best. I hope you're getting good performance from it now, it looks good and the larger clip would make it more useful in battle.

I think we've heard that sibling excuse a million times by now. Just fess up and admit that sometimes you can be a n00b. Anyway thats an awsome mod, could you post some ranges and rof. My friend has a sawtooth that he hates and if this mod improves range maybe I'll try it.

No body says shit to One Man Clan for several reasons here is an outline of why:
I) He doesn't give us a reason to

A) OMC doesn't Make stupid posts, this includes;
1) not acting like a newbie
2) following the code of conduct
3) not blamining bad posts on friends and siblings
a) not letting friends and siblings have access to his account on this forum
b) if he had friends and siblings on the forum, I'm sure he'd ask them to get
their own account and user name

B) OMC tries to point out bad conduct by new members
1) Believe it or not this includes you.
2) He's not the only one that does it
a) Other people who do this include our moderators and site admins.
i) these people can ban you for not following the rules and being obnoxious.
ii) these people like OMC because he is a good member

II) OMC is a long time member and contributer to this site

A) look at his member number and when he joined. This site has only been up a
few years.

B) OMC is one of the few members who occasionally gets some direct information
from hasbro. (correct me if I am wrong I believe it's him and Talio yes?)
1) Which he shares with us
a) We like getting this news.

C) OMC is an active nerfer, and modder.
1) Again he shares his mods and thoughts which help out the rest of us.

So in short, we don't give him shit because he doesn't deserve it. If you want respect here, earn it like everyone else. Don't whine about him saying stuff about you, when you've only been here a short time and have yet to make a good impression. Do something cool and impressive, and don't act like a child and maybe you'll find some respect.

BACK ON TOPIC:

here's another pic of the clip:

I'm having a hard time getting my camera to focus on the details of this clip still but as you can see it's not that hard to do, it just takes paitence, hot gule, a steady hand and an x-acto knife.

Well done, Baggie.

I've done this with two clips before, I felt three was somewhat cumbersome. Might I suggest a Monoblast(shot?) spring for the Sawtooth. That's what I did with mine and it gets much better ranges and adds some surprising zip. Again, well done.

I hate to make this my first post, but please do give a range on your Sawtooth. On a related note, I still have my old Sawtooth, but I lost the clips for it; would you have any additional clips or know anyone who has extra clips?

Sorry For the Double Post but this is important!

Ranges for the BC sawtooth:

Stock TAgger Darts:

Flat average 45-55 feet

angled average 60-70 feet

Micro stefans:

Flat Average: 40-50 feet

Angled average: 55-65 feet

I know it's strange that the stefans produced less range, but i think that is due to the fact that my stefans are a little small for crayola barrels.

And I've got it up on a the e-bay:
