Have you ever mad a mistake on your gun where you had to use alot of hot glue but you put it in the wrong place and it has already dried? Well you have fealt my pain now you have all this excess dried hot glue everywhere.What ever it is i'm sure you want it gone I have found away.


1.Take your kettle and heat up alot of water.

2.water to avoid hassle Do it one part by one part tp avoid hassle the best bet is to take your gun apart.

3.By now Your water is boiling.Put it into a bowl or a container relative to the size of the part your using.

4. Take Tongs or unless you can Take that much heat grab the Specimen and put it into the Hot water.

5.Wait...for 30 seconds to a minute.

6. Take out the speciman and as you SHOULD see the Hot glue is melted again and while you still have time take a non marking tool and scrape it off gently unless you want scrape marks on your gun.If the Glue turns solid again put it in the hot water again.
Repeat until the glue is no more.

7. If done correctly you will have a gun that looked like you never made a mistake on.

Dude, after mine dries in the wrong spot, I just peel it all off. It's as easy as....... Well it's easy, but if my "method" doesn't work, I will use yours. Thanks, I think.

Are you talking about epoxy? I think anyone with hands can take off hot glue.
A good question is: Does anyone know how to reverse the effects of epoxy?

Peeling doesnt always work.sometimes it leaves stuff behind.

If it leaves some stuff behind, when the glue gun is cold, completely clean off the nosecone thing. Then, heat it up, and remove all of the glue by melting the already dried hot glue away and peeling it off then, pausing to wipe the excess glue onto a rag of some sorts. Easy and effective, and you don't have to get the whole bucket o' water out either.

That's good to know. Usually when I use hotglue, I'm setting up for using Epoxy or some stuff I use called E-6000.

Look on the back of the package that your epoxy came in and see if they have a number to call or contact info, you may be able to get a solvant from the manufacturer.
Otherwise get a dremel or sandpaper and some elbow grease.

Epoxy curing is a cemical reaction. It is not reversible and can not be dissolved.

Now Ironicly i was just talking about that in sceince class. Ya i looked it up on google theres nothin that can reverse epoxy.

I just fucked up using epoxy. It was about 3-4 hours after applying it I realized I fucked up and the peice needed to come off. So I decided to try the hot water thing. I boiled the kettle, Poured it into some tupperware and placed the epoxied peice into the water. 2 minutes after took it out and was able to unscrew the peice. Hope this helps anyone who realizes the worst before the epoxy sets in for good.

EDIT: Oh and I was using 5 minute epoxy.
