First Shot = 60 Feet (MAX)
Max Shot = 120 Feet (MAX)
Double teh price, double teh range.

With a WELL DONE telescoping brass barrel replacement mod, those Max Shot ranges are not unrealistic. Read Kevin's mod write up on the Max Shot and First Shot.
Two roads converged in the woods, and I took the one less traveled......and now I don't know where the hell I am.

Whoa...Yeah, it is with the best possible mods. However, you could do a crazy spring strech and get 50 more feet for about a week. Then it will rapidly decline and eventually it will suck.

I'd like to see (with my own eyes, thanks) someone do an effective spring stretch on the Max Shot. It's already got the spring of champions - stainless heavy-gauge spring steel. That dipshit on NHQ who said he got 150+ (or whatever it was) with a stretched spring is either lying or is allowing the kick to throw his shots very high.
I held my barrel down with my free hand - no mean feat, I assure you - to get ranges that low. The recoil wants to send your shot quite high.
The First Shot is worth buying if you don't have a decent spring pistol already. With an excellent mod it's similar to the LnL or SSII. Definitely in the top few pistols ever made and easily the least expensive.

It's about the size and bulk of a modded SF. It's bigger than an LnL but not all that much bigger.
