It's always there, don't worry about it.

That's the funniest thing I've seen posted in a long time, I have to admit.

Yeah, me too.

I literally chuckled off and on for about two hours over that one.

The infinite shielding

I thought he was adding his two cents to the N-Strike question when I first read this.

The infinite shielding

Well I guess that proves the moderators are indeed the invunderable superbeings of the forum. No criticism can bring down the Haven staff due to their "Infinite Shielding".

Example:

Nstrike agent 007: "Shindig u suck ur a sucy suck Sck3r adn i aint teh n00b u sez me are!"

Shindig: "Ha HA! your comments hurt me not for I posess Infinite Shielding! Now useing my super moderating powers I banish you from the forum!"

Nstrike agent 007: "I am defeated and will go away for the next 28 and 1/2 years." [leaves]

Shindig: "Intelligence trumphs over stupidity again, up up and AWAY!"

I think it's funny how this topic has managed to not die, especially since the original poster got chased off by Talio and myself. Why don't we let this one slip down the list of recent topics and just leave it as yet another example of how amusing suspending dumbasss is?

And For the record, my butt looks incredible in spandex. ;)

The infinite shielding I think your to though on new people. People make mistakes and it is nicer to people who are new if you would SIMPILY POINT OUT THERE MISTAKE and let them fix it. It shure is a nice greeting to a site when some one threatens to ban you for a small mistake without telling them there mistake and just give them a link to the forum rules.

Not to be mean or anything, but he's kind of right about that, Shindig. It's good to be easy going with people and not just down them. If people don't read the CoC, put it in front of their face before or after they register. Maybe even have a voice recording that says the rules.

Account suspended until 2033

;) I wonder if they'll still even have nerf then. They'd probably have gel or ImpacX guns or something. Don't ask...

SG Pilot, all new members must agree to the Code of Conduct when they complete their application for membership. Once an admin approves their account, they are sent a subsequent email reminding them to read and review the Code of Conduct. That's two times they are notified of our board rules without me saying anything.

I enforce the Code of Conduct quite vigorously for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, it is my job. The second part is that I do not want to see NerfHaven look like other online forums where language not even remotely close to english is used. I think NerfHaven is better than that, and I am proud of our level of communication as a long time member and an admin.

In response to me being an ass (at least recently). You are probably right. However, have you noticed that all the other admins are relagtively bogged down? I know I'm not the most active, but let's review. Talio's life is such that he won't be at his usual commitment level for a couple of months. Vacc is in his traditional fall hibernation; by this I mean, he lurks around the forums once a day and doesn't say much. Cxwq just started a new job, and has a family. That leaves me and you guys; prepare for a wild ride.

I'll be wearing spandex tomorrow ;) Yes, I understand, Shindig. It's almost that you have no choice to be that way because you got n00blets that don't read the CoC and they should have so they don't sound so stupid. To be honest, I didn't read the entire CoC, but I think I got most of it. It really is annoying when you do have a description of some internet game and they don't read it and ask you what's happening.

I was responding to a joke posted b J_cobbers. Superheros typically wear spandex.

A few things:
1. Read the entire topic before you post. You would have been able to get that if you did.
2. Don't bring up old topics unless you have a significant point to add
3. Read the Code of Conuct.

More or less, as undoubtedly already posted in this thread, it's all a matter of opinion. If you like high-range single shot, it's the Titan. If you like mutli-shot, it's the Hornet.
