I got a nite finder from toys r' us thinking that it might be the old version NF (even though they had an ex-3 version and old version on the site) but it wasn't. I thought about returning under because it had a sheet labeled: I am returning this item for... and it had a buncho reasons. I ended up not doing it. I couldn't resist! I'm glad I didnt because it resulted with this. The is my CPVC couplered green version NF with a Tek-6 spring (you wouldn't believe how powerful those things are) and a stronger catch. Here it is.

Without the barrel.

I'm guessing it could get about 60 flat with a good stefan. Of course remember it's just a guesstimate... it could be more. Tell me what you think.

* Note...This is not a New UBS set-up... It's just a new Gun... The barrel Is made from OMC's petg with a little of my old Petg attached to the back... nothing special just changing my system to work with what I can get, Expect a new UBS sometime in the future...I'm working on it currently

BustaNinja - Please shut the hell up. Why the fuck do you care what he sells it for? Take this to PM's. And also, quit trying to correct people's grammar and spelling, when you make just as many mistakes.

Getting back on topic... Blister: I would give you my firstborn son for the sm5k on top. What did you use for the bolt? It almost looks like a jump-rope handle. Nice mods!

When can we arrange the trade?

Haha, Thanks! The bolt is made out of 9/16 brass inside PVC. A PVC Tee cut in half twice is glued to the PVC. A CPVC coupler comes out of the top half of the tee. CPVC comes out of that, then a CPVC reducer. It was then painted black. I love it because it requires no epoxy or drills.

Surprisingly, the tank relocation mod is really easy. I imagined being difficult, but everything just falls into place.

Dude...I didn't know it was going to look...dude...

umm...excuse me for a moment.

*changes pants*

That's the hottest 2k I've ever seen. Even the brace INSIDE the shell that keeps the pump from coming out is painted as an accent color! Damn...

Take Jrod's sweet new mav for EXE. I can clearly see some time and effort going into that gun. Although the scheme isn't my cup o tea, I can easily see someone paying 40 for it. I don't believe that would be a rip off at all.

True, but his paintjob is actually good, unique.

Thanks for the compliments, but it's not really unique, it's just me throwing my hat in the ring at a Direct Threat style paint job.

People pay my paintjobs compliments, but immitation is the simplest form of flattery. I'm glad you like my stuff enough to "throw your hat in the ring". I think you did a good job. I'd like to see more from you, and I'm sure you're well on your way to developing your own unique style.

Heres my two newest pieces, for anyone interested.

Ok well the gun I hinted at in the paint job thread is now done. More on it Here.
I would like to dedicate this to Captain Slug, Direct Threat, Forsaken Angel. The three reasons I joined this site, the people who proved nerf mods could look good and still pack a punch.

Nothing special so far as mods singled CPVC. Mostly just body work on this gun. The grip is more of a leather color in real life.

(This idea is not my own creation it is an adaptation of a gun done by an acquaintance on another site that could not fire.)

I mod nerf guns so they look good. So leave my scopes, doodads, and trinkets alone I like them. I don't mind the weight and I started out that way on toy guns and its not going to change.

Hey Direct, blue neons with black, any chance you're preparing for Hellgate London?

I'd give up my firstborn for hellgate, but no, the buyer just wanted me to make a blue accented version of this.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

People, I know some of these modifications/ paint jobs are cool and all, but this is intended to be a modification picture thread, not a commentary thread.

I just deleted three PAGES of idle comments and chit chat. People come here to look at pictures of blasters, not your comments. PLEASE try to restrain yourselves from adding comments unless they're absolutely necessary. Modders/ painters, make a separate thread for your gun if you feel your modification is significant. I stopped deleting at page 52 because I just don't have the energy to do it.

I might start reducing post counts of overzealous commentators, if there's too many unnecessary comments. That'd be fun to do. I know who you are.

So I don't contradict myself, here's an oldie but goodie;

Direct Threat - Those paintjobs are great, and that is the first post of a painted diskshot I have seen.

zaphodB - that has got to be the cleanest and coolest integration that I have ever seen. What did you use for the tubes on the sides?

Z-man12 - Is that mav A. singled, and B. supposed to resemble a brute spiker from Halo 3?

PETG, Sand+Black dye Front gun integration. 100 feet.

Making sure that beauty of a gun Direct Threat made doesn't get Auction diddled... I won't pay more than what I bid, but I am sure a few people will continue. The thing is beautiful DT.

Just finished this about an hour ago. Figured I would try my hand at a longshot with front gun integration, but seeing as I love cosmetic appearance just as much, I used bondo and scuplting tools to get rid of the cracks between the two guns. Its for sale in my trading thread, enjoy!

Direct threat I really like your paintjob you got going there, it reminds me of the gun in Gears of War with the Chainsaw bayonet.

Okay so I took this N-strike pistol, I sanded the N-strike emblem off the grips, I sanded "Nerf" off, i sanded the caution and warning writing off and I sanded the lines off of the extra ammo hold. I then painted it like so:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Yet the paintjob was very bad we used a spray paint that was low, and we did it with one coat at night, etc...Basically it may look good in the pictures but in real life it needed to be redone. So I went out and bought some Krylon gloss black spray paint and some Insta-chrome spray paint and I've been taking my time, putting on nice coats, letting it dry for 24 hours etc and when done it will look really nice. (I am painting the entire gun gloss black and then just the barrel chrome). I am also thinking of either cutting off the extra ammo holds or I am going to insert a small flash light and a laser into them.

I will post when I am done repainting it.
