So I can't say if the epoxy would hold for 100 cocks or 10.

My first "serious mod" rebarrel of the Tech Target.

Posted Image
IMAG0001.jpg by lebron_basketball, on Flickr

Quick question. Theres about 3 and a half inches of the PPVC sticking out. Is that too much? Is there an "optimized" barrel length?

and no I'm not Trevor.

Well, I did two more singled 2Ks, this time as commissions for Baghead.

Posted Image
The twins.

Posted Image
I ran out of delrin while doing the second coupler, so I used aluminum. I put a delrin collar around the front to provide some contrast with the metal.

Posted Image
One of the 2Ks had been previously modded, so it didn't have the plastic collar at the front of the pump housing. Of course, I had to do something about that, so I machined an aluminum replacement.

Posted Image
The stock plastic hose barb broke off of the pump on this one, so I made a new one out of some 1/4" brass I had laying around.

Posted Image
Here, you can see the aluminum plates that I used to cover the hole created by the absence of a turret.

If anyone wants one, I'm charging $25 for parts and labor, if you supply the gun itself. If you don't, I'll add on however much a new-ish 2K ends up costing me. PM me here on the 'Haven or talk to me on #nerfchat, if you're interested.

First post in this thread, but not first mods. :P

Here's a 3k I just finished up overhauling: 12" PETG barrels, Hornet pump replacement, rear-loading, replaced tubing (going straight from pump to tank), glued trigger pin; the works. I had to deal with a few leaks, which is why this took a couple weeks to finish, in addition to being because I wanted to get everything PERFECTO, which I think I almost did.
Please exscuse the crappy phone pics.
Posted Image

Here's a view of the rear-loading slot; very clean, if I do say so myself.
Posted Image

I didn't like the look of having no goo gauge, but I couldn't find a way to put the emptied, disconnected gauge back in the shell, so I did my tubing in such a way so that the tubing connector (quick-slip connect), could fit right inside the goo gauge slot (no shell mods required! fits perfectly!) I like it a lot.
Posted Image

Instead of using a Mr.Mcnumbers barrel spacer, I made my own using his templates and 1.5/16" Home Depot polycarb. Pretty nice.
Posted Image

This thing is seriously overpowered. At about 6-10', and 4 pumps(plugged hornet pump), it puts copperBB domes through cardboard. @ 5 pumps, dome darts usually go through both sides of a nerf AT box, and slugs go through on side. It's Effeminate.

Thanks to Landstricker for the 3k. :)

Sorry, no PJ or cosmetic mod for this. My Quadshot is usually my Ginny Pig for my Octo. I wanted to see if I could create an inlined clip for my Octo by first testing it out on my Quad. It worked! 12 rounds in total for this Quad. With just the 16kg spring, it gets 90' flat going down to 80' flat by the 3rd round in each clip. Converting it to an inlined clip system brought the range down by 20'. I was getting 110' flat before. I figured 80' - 90' was acceptable.

Posted Image

Expect an inlined Octo soon! 24 rounds of awesomeness. With the man spring, ranges should be around 110' flat, going down to 100' flat.

My trigger kind of snapped in half; I decided, instead of leaving it a worthless-small-animal-killer, to make it a functional-small-animal-killer.

For starters psyk that is pretty freaking awesome!

Here is a WIP, I took over the job of "weapon master" for a post apocalyptic larp here in TX/OK that uses nerf for gun/bow combat. I wanted to start working on their longshots and felt the abuse these things see made an integration unlikely, so will shotgun them. Since these aren't my guns and I have several to mod I needed something cheap yet functional.

So here is what I did with a dremel and a hairdryer. Total part cost was under $5

... just an Angel Breech for now.

Just A fun mod. Marshmallow crossbow that shoots multiple types of ammo. Simple coupler mod.

Yes. It can still shoot large marshmallows.

I had several people ask me for additional details on the shotgun mod. So I tried to capture some pics on this one.

Start by cutting out the notches in your 2" thinwall pvc. Note this is a starting point, I smooth and sand the edges to fit.
Posted Image

You should have something like this after cutting your PVC
Posted Image

Now after you trim down the bi-pod nubs pull apart the pvc and slip it on the longshot.
Posted Image

At this point I heated the PVC with my wife's uber hairdryer. After it cooled it was naturally spread out, so it was not "clamped" onto the blaster, but fit loosely.

Posted Image
Add your 1/2 cpvc arms, with your glue/goop of preference.

And use cpvc elbows to raise it up enough to the "bolt hole"

add some foam for grip
Posted Image

and there we go.

Trying to make the xShot Stealth a little more worthy.

You've all seen this neglected blaster.

After I made it go!

The inside:

Posted Image

...wait a minute. What's that?
Posted Image
Posted Image

That's right! I've modded the stock nozzle into a CPVC couplered attachment.

The second barrel can shoot darts and/or water. Both get high 70's, low 80' flat.
With the water nozzle, it only shoots 25' but it's a continuous pressurized stream not a 'squirt'.

This is what the xShot Series should have been all along. Full write up coming soon.
