I just recently aquired 2 NIB "old" NFs @ my local KayBee Toys, and well I modded them and decided to give 'um custom paintjobs...That Are'nt Royal Blue/Neon green!!! (Take That Falcon...)

Here ya go Red/Navy NFs, My Pistols of Huzzah!





The Individual Guns:
Red W/Navy Accents


Navy W/red Accents


Both Of these were done with strictly Krylon Fusion, and because I painted the working parts I had to so some slight shell modification so that they would slide with out causing more friction.

I may Go Back And do more detail work, but One cannot paint in the rain...so I could be a while....

They loook alright but I think you should have put more detail into them. The cases are sprayed one color and the internals another. It also looks a bit too glossy. I really think you should have sprayed the cases more than one color because they look half assed. Also, painting a gun black makes it lose a lot of "character" and "originality". I personally believe the paint jobs could have been done much better than they are.

EDIT: Sorry, the pictured weren't of that great quality and made me believe that it was black and not navy blue. but nonetheless, still a flat dark color.

First, Did you even read the Post? I Painted them Red and NAVY Freaking BLUE, The pics are in bad lighting, so I understand that the one MAY Appear Black. I Fully Agree That Painting A NERF gun BLACK is stupid...

Second, Half-Assed My Ass, It's effing hard to mask an NF cleany, I know:

Look At the Green/Blue One...

Therefore I did not Go out on a limb and do too much

I've done ALOT of custom paintjobs,( Example 1,Example 2 )and I've learned that Keeping it simple is the best thing, Honestly... I'd rather My Guns have a simpler paintjob that is clean, than a more complex paint job that looks like crap.

So basicaly I'm saying that Talking Shit On someone's Paintjobs just to be an AssHat is a bad thing...

Actually. No offense. I don't really like any of your paintjob examples. They are good quality, they just don't strike my fancy.

But that aside, technically those are slick as shit, but the choice of colors are less than super. That how ever I consider a lesser point to how poignatatly this show a huge problem that I have been noticing on the forums at large with gun paint job posting-- the photos suck with a passion. And "The pics are in bad lighting" is no excuse, take the time to take pics right or don’t get so worked up when people miss identify the colors of your guns. The other thing that really pisses me off is how you (meaning baghead) keep raggin on opium panda, it was his first paintjob and the only reason you can see the problems with his paint, is cause he took the time to show it as it is instead of hiding behid shitty photos. I mean with your "great" history of painting I would think you could take some heat when you put out some shit.

Thank You for Smacking me back....I deserved it.... I just worked my ass off on those and it pissed me off to have someone start by slaping it in the face... I know i should have been a little less of a Dick in my original response.

First Off, I have a Shitty camera, Therefore I cannot Produce Quality Pics, I've re-sizeed and re-touched the photos, It didn't improve them much.

but after this: I'm not going to bother even posting paintjobs anymore...no one should...because it never makes anyone happy...not even the ones that did it...so let's just stop acting like jackasses and leave it at that.

While they are mostly mono-tone, the paint application itself, is even and clean. Kudos on that. The mod and chop-down are also clean and neatly done. So all-in-all, its a good job, just nothing I would personaly prefer.

The photos arent that bad guys. If anything the second NF looks grey, not black, but I knew it was Navy since I actualy READ the post.

People always say im being an asshole when I criticise peoples mods and paintjobs. The truth is, im not an asshole, people just cant differentiate CONSTRUCTIVE and HONEST criticism from being an asshole. 4 years of A.P art in highschool and being a photo major in college will teach you a thing or two about these things. You have to criticise mods and paintjobs in the same way you would a peace of art.

When you guys give your opinions, know that while you're entitled to one, the criticism you make shouldnt be soley on your own taste. instead of saying "That paint job sucks because all black is stupid bloh bloh" say " Personaly, I dont like the all black". Also even though you dont like a color scheme, doesnt meant he application of the paint is bad either as in this case with Bag's NFs.

Okay, I'm sorry i knd of went a little overboard. I assume that those touched up pictures are closer to what the guns really look like. Someone a few posts back said it was cleanly done just not something they fancy and I probably should have said that in my post. It is kind of too late to edit it now considering I already got that post from you. What I was trying to get at in my old post was that I didn't care much for the single colour that is not masked. Sorry to spread the confusion.

Also, the sexbow color scheme kind of creeps the hell out of me. Those colors bring back horrible memories. *Shutters*
