Here you go. And for Halo fans, here's a more updated pic of the loser rifle. Obviously, it'll use interchangable barrels, as the cosmetic one on there now is too long for pretty much any nerf gun I've ever seen or heard of before.

Ompa, that is, the best damn thing I've ever seen. Its gorgeous. Is it just firing from the innards of a at2k, or does it have a different airtank? And is that clip fuctional? Great detail on the gun, very nice paintjob. One of the best homemades I've ever seen.

EDIT: Homemade in the sense that the body of the gun is homemade.

Once again, an AT2k airtank (expanded) was used. It just happens to be closest to the diameter of 1" pvc, so it doesn't stick out too much. It's not even assembled yet, what you see is actually 3 parts just put next to eachother. I cannot give you ranges yet, but the gun will mostly be for show. Although I expect around 100-110' ranges with the firing barrel. I was actually considering using some of the spare parts from a broken camcorder to actually make a scope with zoom (for looks of course), then I realized the damn camcorder had no LCD. So no, the scope doesn't really do anything. The clip system is very similar to what I have now, I just need to find a very long cutting tool so I can cut a part out of the pvc. I expect the clip to work just as well as any of my other clips made thus far.

What do you plan as a barrel material ompa? You could just nest brass in the pvc and have it look right but the effective barrel would be the right length, it's what bolt did on the far. I always love seeing these halo creations of yours.

No matter how hard you try nesting and whatnot, a nearly 3-foot long barrel just isn't going to work with anything other than an airtank the size of the entire stock. And that would just take forever to prime. I COULD switch to an SCH40 barrel (using SCH80 right now), but I'm not sure what kind of difference that would make.

No, what I meant was to have brass in sch.40 so the dart won't touch the sides of the barrel pass the 10 or so inches actually needed. You may even have to use class 200 for the outer barrel instead to ensure the dart won't hit anything. Boltsniper did something similar by drilling out the first four inches of the barrel because he was using stock micros. I used the sch40 brass trick for mine.

Hey, I just got my Firefly and plan on opening it up soon. This is a sweet gun, but i find no where to put my left hand. I was thinking of doing a barrel mod, maybe even a write up. I wondering if you guys would suggest 17/32 or 9/16 brass. I'm leaning toward 9/16, with maybe an inch of 17/32 nested. My bigger question is how long would you guys make the barrels? It can be longer than the turret because i have a plan to free up space. Any advice is appreciated, and I'll try to do an acceptable write up for my mod. Thanks.

9/16" high quality PETG is more than 3x cheaper than brass, lighter and easier to work with, and now it can maintain the darts glowing properties?

Just reporting that the firefly is at a local target in Tucson, Arizona. I did not pick one up, but my friend did. I must say that the ranges are pretty poor stock. It does however have a pretty cool tracing system on it and the darts come out glowing bright at night. I think I will hold off on this one, I'll see if anyone can work wonders with its range first.

Bleh, I won't be able to work on the loser or the Firefly for about 12-13 days, seeing as I'm going out to Berkley for a camp. Unfortunate, it is. Regardless, if any of you live in the area, and you know, want to sell me a maxshot or something, and know where UC Berkley is (aka you live near it) post quickly. Or later, seeing as I'll find an internet connection there if it kills me.
