What's the latest on this blaster being released? Did you buy them, or what? Who do we beleive, Airsoft or Redeye?

i'll believe airsoft if he gets a pic, in which case i'll be sending him $25-ish + S&H for one

i'll believe redeye if he gets a contridictory pic SET showing the store, and i cant find any editation erros at all

Ok i just got back from Time Square TRU and they did'nt have it!!!!
I went down to the bottem floor and I asked if they had it but they said they did not carry it.

Any help because I really want to get the FireFly before I leave.

Ok that's 2 people claiming they never had it. Airsoft either mistook the firefly for dartag or something, or he's full of shit.

Here's the deal. I am tired of this back and forth on whether the Firefly is in stores or not. Therefore, any information that does not come along with a picture of the Firefly in hand will be deemed bullshit in my opinion.

However, I am a pretty nice guy. So the first person to lay their hands on a Firefly that was bought from stores, will get a free NF in the mail from moi. There are a few requirements though. You must provide a picture of the firefly NIB, with a scanned copy of the receipt emailed to me. If you think you're first, PM me for an email address you can send the evidence to. I will announce the winner upon receipt of those items. In addition, anyone that has previewed the firefly is disqualified unless they can provide a receipt.

Shindig, I'm not sure if you want to do that. There's a pic up at the link, but there's a slight possibility it might be photoshopped- I'm not good enough with graphics to determine if it is or not, so you guys might want to take a look.

If he has a receipt, the NF is his. There were some MA guys that previewed the Firefly at their recent war, and more than likely some of them took one or two home. The reason I am asking for a receipt is to prevent one of them or our community ambassadors from getting an unfair advantage. If the person supplies the records, I can determine at least what store carries it and a general geographic region the Firefly can be purchased in. All that info would help the memberbase, and in this case I'm willing to spend the small fee to lock down some solid information.

I could sware that picture is photoshopped. The gun looks like it's in the exact same angle as it is in the preview picture.

God, I didn't even expect that picture to actually fool people into believing that I had a firefly. First off, my post which triggered the picture was a post about a prototype dart tag (obvious knock at yourworstnightmare ) and the people who weren't sure about the picture:Notice those curves at the cocker slide that shouldn't be rounded? Notice the crap on the barrel assembly which should be thick, solid, and not see through? Notice lighting on the gun compared to my pitch black desk?

One more:Compare the size of the gun to the can of soda it's over.

Yeah. And with that I am off like panties on prom night.

Hey, I attended the MA war and the Hasbro workers only brought one Firefly, and made sure they got it back. Also, I wouldn't say the Firefly got nearly 40 feet, I would estimate like 20ish. The dart tag performed much better. The Firefly was heavy as nerf guns go, but it still is plastic. It was neat, but when I get one I would put a handle on the front for your other hand, the only other place it could rest was on the cocker. Overall they looked like very solid guns, but not earth shattering like I feel it is being hyped to be. I expect them to be used in wars though.

Yeah, pretty much. FG, I don't know where you're at. 20ish is way underestimating it, though the DT did perform much better. I stand by my latest assessments and will only bow down in shame of being wrong if Talio/OMC/any other admin who has seen it denies these results.

I have talked to CheifThe, and the firefly is NOT out yet. The dart tag is out. until someone can provide proof otherwise, this is what I'm going by.

Edit: heres MORE proof the Dart tag set is Dart tag internals and mod!

Just for the heads up, I picked up a Firefly and a Dart Tag set today at Wal-Mart.

I'm in Springfield, Missouri. (For any locals: Check the little one on Campbell, the big one on Glenstone hasn't re-set their Nerf section yet. Also, the Target I called claimed all their Nerf was on clearance).

Ranges on the two are very similar. The glow in the dark darts are heavier because of the glow paper that's stuck on them. Because of this, it appears at first glance that the Firefly has less power. This is untrue. Both fire about the same distance as a stock Nightfinder. My guess is you could get about 75-80% of the range/power of a modded NF. For the amount of shots you get, it looks like a good buy.

The Firefly isn't huge, yet is surprisingly comfortable in my big hands. Even the stock is almost the right length for my 6'1" frame. Hope this information helps.
