So I was in New York City visiting some relatives, and I went to the Times Square TRU, and there it was, the Firefly. I didn't have any money on me, but I'll be going back tomorrow to pick up a shitload, editing this topic later.

Thanks for the headsup, man. I think a visit to TRU is in order. How much was it? I'm guessing 15$.

Sweet. I'll check out my TRU today, expect to know if it's in the midwest or not. I'll check around for Dart Tags as well.

No, no luck for either here.

Lastly, you sure they were actually for sale? The Hasbro site doesn't even have them up yet...

You think you would be able to take pics of internals so everyone can make suggestions on mods.

I'm kinda skeptical about this Firefly. After a few reviews roll in, I may consider buying one. If it's capable to mod, and looks hopeful that is. Thanks for the info though, I might have to keep my eyes peeled...

I have held one in my hands and fired it, and I know that it owns. It's really good stock, same with dart tag. I dunno about modding, you'd have to cut out a lot of the case where the turret comes out, if you look at the pictures. Though the Hasbro people said late summer/early autumn before it was out. But that could have just been me. I think other people could back me up on that.

Oh yes. Great news Airsoft, thanks for the report.

-And Slayer, would you say that the firefly preforms as well as a first edition NiteFinder stock?

How many barrels does it have, anyway? I never quite picked that up from any discussions, and the one pic I've seen hasn't shown enough to figure that out.

Hmm I live very clsoe to Washington DC. I think it would take me 3hrs to go to NYC. I dunno if its worth it to get some fireflys. You think I could find it in Maryland? That sounds awesome but I hope I am not disapointed when I actually try it. The dart tag looks more appealing to me. A mini version of the RF20 that sounds awesome. I might try to get one of those.

I said this in N00bHQ and noone acknowledged that.
I feel so rejected. :(

Falcon, it has eight barrels. Hence FireFly REV-8 and Maverick REV-6.

Where did you get to try it? Yeah they said late summer/early fall.

I think that it looks pretty sweet, even if it sucks I think I will pick on eups just cause of the looks. If I dont like it it looks like it would be big enough to intagrate something good in it.

Hasbro went to check out one of their nerf wars.

Don't worry, Tidge, we love you. :(

Airsoft, are you positive you saw it? Because I just got back from there and not only did they not have it, but when I asked the stockboys and they checked the computer, there was no record of them ever having it. There were just TTGs, RF20s, AT3ks, NFs, and Mavs, and no empty spots on the shelves where the Fireflies might have been.

Woah, hold up, your serious about the hasbro team visiting you at the war? And I left? Man I hate me.

I will get the Firefly, even if it shoots 2 feet. Modded.

Actually, it suprised me on power, even though dart tag had more. It could get stock NF distances, I'm pretty sure. It's really comfy to hold/fire as well. As If anyone really cares, as NOB put it, because basically everybody's gunna get it whether it's good or not.... maybe that's just NOB and myself, but whatever.

they stopped at your war? then maybe you can answer these:

Firefly:

1. whats it like weight-wise?
2. estimated range?
3. accuracy?

Darttag:

1. Range?
2. Accuracy?
3. Weight?

Firefly

- The weight is just right. Not too light and not too heavy.
- I'm guessing it's at close to 40' range.
- Decent.

Dart Tag

- Felt lighter than the Firefly.
- Farther than the Firefly, more like 40-42', because it was just a bit farther.
- Better than the Firefly.

I was suprised at these results, because I was all revved (heh) about the FF, but now I'm thinking about just getting DT. Just my thoughts. Plus, DT would be easier to mod, because the entire turret is exposed, unlike the FF, where there would be much cutting and sanding going on, killing the kewl looks.

Ah yes, the BBB :D

That was supposedly being re-released at the same time the FF and DT were, right?
If it is true that the FF is coming out, I'm much more inclined for a BBB. Ooooooh. :P
