Well folks finally I’ve been able to spew my ideas into word. I made club at my university and starting in September there will be an official nerf assassins club which kicks an amazing amount of ass, thus I have been brain storming ideas for how to make nerf guns that people have never seen, and cower before. Before I begin I would like to say I have been inspired by the great bolt loser. My first design I am beginning this weekend is a variation of the great FAR. I will be posting pics as my work progresses and will be delayed as I wont be getting the n strike (2 packages) until July which sucks, damn canuck safety regulations, I want to shoot people from huge distances with foam NOW!!

So I won’t give away many details because I want to be the first to make these like I’m making them, although I have gotten some ideas from others, mine will be unique.

-FAR variation, pump action air powered, bolt action loading, collapsible stock and laser sight
-Hornet- brass break barrel design, which to my knowledge has never been attempted, with laser sight of course
-Scout- sheet metal tactical holsters with ammo holders (left and right) and I’ll be modifying the guns to make them a little smaller
-Titan, well I saw the “titan minimization” design I think from trick sleeves and thought it was awesome but I don’t like the pump Velcro-ed onto the bottom and no stock makes it look somewhat unstable so I am keeping the stock and designing a better place for the pump. Also I am taking the AT3000 and retrofitting it onto the titan...more in line with the missile barrel, which has only been done where the pump is. I will be expecting 200 feet from this gun. My little brother has the “forget the name…”5000 which is reviled in most circles so I may make the titan with a rocket and a loser secondary. Both systems will run off the same tank but fire independently. This could serve as a primary if I do go with a spinning barrel design.

So these are my ideas for the ultimate weapons of foam, I will post pics as soon as I begin what I have affectionately dubbed project “Brimstone.”

I like your idea for the Titan/AT3k integration. I think you mean the SuperMAXX 5000, or SM5k. Those all sound like fun projects and I like the ideas of all of them. Good luck.

Sweet all around. Always good to see that the community is growing. The one thing that bothers me, as Talio pointed out, is that Titans are WAY too powerful. After seeing it shoot, no one will be within 100 feet of you. Guaranteed. Plus, again, quoting Talio, that the Titan is kinda an asshole weapon, because it's overly powerful. He said it could chip bark. Or are you not Ompa-modding it? If so, ignore almost everything I just said.

Overall, good ideas, though I'd like you to explain what a "brass break barrel design" is. I'm interested if it will work well on a hornet.

my sister is buying me the n strikes on a trip to michigan during july so to be honest i don't know the type of internal mods i plan to do yet. although i do want the titan to stay as a rocket launcher because i'll mostly be in indoor wars and within 100 feet. mostly i want an intimidation weapon. although it would be sweet to increase the air tank capacity and plug the over pressure valve to keep everything airtight...more might come later.

-side note: last year we thought we created a game called assassins where we ran around rez shooting dollar store guns in the dark with laser pointers on them...its evolved into nerf to keep it safer according to my univrsity...hehehehehe. i love that more people out there enjoy shooting eachother with toy guns.

ps...i'll learn the ropes of posting as i go to keep everything making sense

For the Titan/3K you might want to do this. I used the tubing that originally went to the Hornet when connected to the Titan and made it attach to the 2K valve. A variation i made to this after i took the picture was i made the vinyl go thru a SSPB valve so it wouldn't lose its pressure when the Titan was shot.

Since the Titan pressure level isn't as high, the 2K only got about 70ft.( the turret broke off awhile ago and i haven't fixed it yet). The Titan has a sch.80 barrel on the inside so it can shoot stefans and Missiles. Because i reduced the amount of airspace in the barrel the missile shoots 80ft. Darts only shoot about 100ft. so i like to shotgun it.

since you own a titan, could you say the stock distance of it and the distance of the 2k under-barrel assembly

Depends on the ammo. If you're talking about stock missle to stefans, it's like 120+ feet improvement.

Best of luck with you Nerf club. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't jealous. I should definitely look into doing that at my school.

So folks the summer end is coming up quickly and I have not been able to build one nerf gun to this date. Thats my life with 5 jobs. This weekend although I am going out to buy parts for a homemade nerf gun that each and every one of you will come to regard as the ultimate nerf weapon. I have scrapped the designs for the aforementioned weapons and have designed a homemade encompassing many singular concepts I have read about but never utilised. Keep checking back every few days for updates

i simply use this website for serious r&d for my cap flag club at my university so the last thing i need is some person asking stupid questions, far be it for me to have a usable brain that lets me string a few big words together. I suggest you stop being defensive and just offer up a "I'm a 12 year old douchecake, and I'm sorry I spilled my shit soaked posts all over these boards".

So, what you're saying is you have zero nerf experience, even in modification, yet you plan on making a homemade gun that will have a range of 200+? Over twice that of Boltsniper's FAR (who, may I remind you, actually knows what he's doing). But hey, maybe I just don't have enough experience here to call people ambitious and bitchy noobs. So good luck shattering the laws of physics. I'm gonna go work on my new titan mod, it'll use a flux capacitor to shoot at you from 300+ ft and 20 yrs away.

You seem to have some great ideas, please post pictures and plans when you get your projects done. I envy your nerf club quite a bit. On a side note just try to tone it down a bit with the I will not tolerate insolence stuff. You will get the respect of other fourm users if you show them some.
