Interesting.
Most interesting.
Black Wrath, despite the suspension, I'm going to give you any opportunity to defend yourself/ counter what I have to say; please e-mail me at worshipmonster@lycos.com with any comments. I will post them here in their entirety.
Ya know, I'm going to side with Talio on this one, only because I know what kind of guy he is. Many of you don't know that he works sometimes way over the "normal" 40 hour work week, makes the ends meet, and once in a while tries to have a social life, which includes Nerf. Then, he does his best to check up on the forums. Unlike many of the younger users, who have things given to them like Nerf blasters, Internet service, and other such luxuries (like having meals served to you and your laundry done by Mom), so many of you have lots of spare time to burn here. I know I don't. Neither does Talio.
I don't think Talio has an anger problem. Anyone whose been on NH or NHQ knows that that is his personality style, a bit abrasive and to the point. If anyone, and I mean ANYONE, has a problem with that in an administrative fashion, I'd recommend going to the owner of the site, cxwq, and letting him know about it. Ragging here did little except to cause the snowball effect to happen.
Hold up. Carbine? You mean a light rifle? What the fuck? It's a Nerf gun for god sakes! It's already light. If you need it to be lighter, you need to do a push up or something. Grow a pair brother.
As for straps and holsters, to much hassle and stuff. Carry one gun. Put a pistol in your pocket if it's single shot. Past that, it ain't gonna help you. Trust me, Rambo took it to the extreme with that shit and it never helped.
Yeah, the "grow a pair" comment could have been omitted, but see, that last sentence in his post explains it all. Tally has SEEN and probably even experienced the fact that carrying a bunch of blasters won't make you any more effective at the game then if you carried one, some ammo, and made sure you were 'bloody' good with it.
Granted, maybe the way you Canadians play your game may be different than their way, but last time I checked, most styles (West Coasters, East Coasters, Midwesterners, Southern boys ('n gal) had a run and gun style that I'm pretty familiar with. The only time I ever carry anything other than my primary (1500/Tooth, SM5k, AT2k nowadays) is a NiteFinder, and that's only if I'm wearing pants with cargo pockets. Any other method and I lose pieces. Literally.

Friend, this is the kind of stuff that just starts the snowball rolling.
Black Wrath, you don't have an anger problem.
You have an authority problem. With Talio.
Your insinuations about him having no life except for Nerf, and the "game", and trying to correct spelling, punctuation, and locutional errors in his posts, which I assume were typed out at breakneck speed, with a little bit of offense...were those really necessary?
And it didn't help much for the rest of the wussies who normally stay silent, until the ball started to roll, then a couple of you couldn't seem to shut up. That's the biggest display of cowardice I could imagine on a forum board. Really.
My interests lie in trying to best myself in modifications and innovations, not rolling around on the grass better than someone else.
My question is; is that the sentiments of the entire CFM clan? Or just yours?
Reason being, I have read entire threads that took on the makings of AIM on NerfHaven, of CFM members talking smack about laying down hurt, and other such "tough guy" nerf war conversations.
I know that you know that playing the game is more than "rolling around in the grass"; in fact, I almost never hit the ground, except when I slip and fall. All that imitating stuff like on the movies and TV and video games that many of you out there play (way too much) is just not my idea of Nerfing, though I have seen a few exceptions, as I'm sure you have too.
You're telling me that if I ever want to be a man, I have to be good at running around shooting little foam cylinders out of a pneumatic weapon designed for kids in the age range of 5-12.
If you honestly think that this is a game for ONLY 5 - 12 year old children, why are you even here on this site? I've seen your work with your 5k; it's great to see a practical bolt-action reloading system! Well thought out and the write up was top drawer. And your holster write up...superb!
But why even bother if you think that it's "only for little kids"?
You taunted Talio, you wanted the last word in, then dared him to suspend you. Talio obliged.
When I say on NHQ, "ban me if you will", I damn mean it. When it comes down to it, I don't believe in making idle statements, especially when it affects my ability to exercise sound opinion on a Nerf forum. When they're ready, they'll mute/ ban me.
I didn't quote Talio much here, because what I'm going to say now should apply to all of us on the forum board. All this talk about who has more testosterone coursing through their veins, it's obvious that cxwq and I are the winners there...we have some kids to prove it.
But all kidding aside, heed this piece of advice if you will.
The biggest sign of maturity, call it what you want, most testosterone, etc. is not by how badly you can insult each other, or how much you can criticize each other. It really is how much SELF-CONTROL you can demonstrate on the boards, especially when one is offering advice, or correction that you may or may not agree with. Flaming gets no one anywhere. Ever. If you want respect, show it first. Show it even when the other guys don't. You'll earn it, one way or another.
I do not share the same sentiments about holsters and straps; I made that pretty clear on NHQ. I really thought I could escape the bull-crap I hear from folks who still think that Nerfing is a mil-sim game, by staying here at the Haven.
I'm just saddened that BW had to be suspended, though but 90 days, and that Tally has to be dared and taunted to the point of taking drastic action with some of you.
Frick. We should just buy a round of brewski's and move on.
