For the latest installment in the NO saga, Hal let the domain expire rather than transferring it to someone who could use it. I tried for it, to put up a tribute to the NO of old, but someone else wanted it more for its google pagerank. I think the current site is actually slightly better than the one Hal had there a few months ago...

Who the fuck is Larry Chen and why was he in "control" of NO? Not that i care or anything, just wondering.

While you're at it, go to www.nerfwars.com. Its been around since 2001 and for some reason hasen't changed one bit. Im amazed someone would keep paying the domain cost for something thats not even doing anything..

It looks like nerfonline.com is not NO anymore. That stinks.

There is a SHITLOAD of sites related to Nerf that probably not half of the NIC has seen. Obscure ones that are based around stock guns. Give me a few minutes to dig up one that I saw a few weeks back...

EDIT: I found a small site, but it has some mods. The one I was talking about is very recent, with reviews of the Mav and N-Strike NF. A cookie to anyone that can find it! Reload!

Reload has been around forever. It used to be on the NO and NC links pages too. Its not necesarily something new.

Reload was originally Load (aka Code) 's site years ago. He was one of the older members of the nerf listserve. After he had no tim to maintain it someone elsetook it over. I feel bad because I'm pretty sure I knew the guy but for the life of me I cannot remember who that was who took over. After a decade the alias's all start to blend together. At least I think that's the history behind it. It's all kinda fuzzy right now, maybe in the morning it will all be clearer.

Oh man I remember the Nerf Quake mod. Death was going to code it and I worked on sound effects and I made the website for it that isn't up anymore. We actually got a pre-alpha build that had the dart physics (if you can call them that back then) in place.

Good times.

Wow, I'm glad Reload is still up. You younglings should take the time to look through some of the links on that page, learn about your roots.

We Nerfers didn't always have flashy UBB or Invision sites with dedicated admin teams to keep us informed. Back then we comunicated via massive listserves and ass kicking midi's!!

I want you all to think about that and realize how lucky you are to live in such a wonderous age!

In the world of nerf, before there were domain names, there was angelfire.

It's true, really, most of the old nerf sites used angelfire. Some had geocities, but yeh.
