I hadn't seen this before, but since there's no date I have no idea when it was posted. I was looking at the old Nerfaholics strips Grinch posted so I popped over to NO to see what Larry Chen was up to these days...

It's been over a year since we last "Returned", and there has been enormous interest in this site lately. How enormous? How about 150,000 unique visitors in the last month alone and seemingly almost as many emails?

It's also quite evident that this site, at this time, is a mere shadow of it's former glory from a few years back...

You know, this site reminds me of Keith Richards, it just won't fucking die! Really, kiddies, please don't encourage this, if you're going to submit somewhere stick to NHQ and NH, please, in the name of all things holy.

Not that I think this is going to affect anything, however I can see every member whose been here less then 3 months sending all their 1337 swat tactics and super secret gun markets hidden in Thrift Shops. I'm not asking you to save the content for our site or NHQ, I just don't want to see how ugly this is going to get.

Oh, that Larry character. I've been reading my old comics too, as awkward as that might sound. More of a study of how the humor, drawing, and writing has evolved over the years.

Reading that article gives me that unnerving and uncomfortable feeling I get from watching some flick like, let's say Night of the Living Dead 6. Not only are the actors undead, the title has ironically and inevitably lent itself into the nature and success of the series over the years, too. Funny how that works out...but it seems to be a popular trend.

I'm glad I can say that Vacc and I bailed out before it was shut down.

That place went to hell quite some time before it officially died.

What Hal doesn't realize is that all relevance NO had was the sum of its users. Without Spoon, Vacc, Zero, Sniper5k, Yakman, etc, NO is... absolutely nothing.

I think this pretty much sums up the current state of NerfOnline. My email to the administrator adress for NerfOnline.com after the site was submitted to dmoz.org:

I feel that the site no longer serves the Nerfing Community in any way. I'm glad you find time to edit the dmoz directory. I was slacking, but it's probably best because of the conflict of interest. Can't really go on there and 'cool' my own site now can I?

Hal has left a horrible taste in my mouth since he turned NO into a shit hole and eventually shut it down. The fact that he pretty much used it for a few years as part of his profile for a web design business eats my skin even more. Grant it, I would have understood if he had done that before Nerf Online opened, and then taken it off his portolio after the site closed. But to put up a shell of the former site is just plain insulting to the community in general. Not mention putting up the site under the name "Larry Chen" just proves he lacks the balls to show the community the traitor that he really has been all along. I'd be interested to know how much that Amazon store actually makes him.

I know I'm not submitting him any content. I submitted plenty of stuff when NO was still fully operational and it was never posted; bastard. I hope most people have enough sense to realize that.

The good memories I have of NO are permanently tarnished. Thanks Bald Rocket for ruining part of my teenage years. I hope your over priced web design fails.

Mad props to Langley fot telling Hal what I've want to tell him all along.
