Me and a friend made a Nerf movie once, and we had a pretty interesting plot.
To make a long story short, in the end the bad guys ended up being the good guys, and the good guys ended up being the bad guys. Understand? No? Well let me elaborate.....

At the begining of the film, we had the GOOD guys invade a BAD guy hideout, but you say the story from the BAD guy perspective (thus, making it seem like the BAD guys were GOOD guys). After that, the movie continued and it all got straightened out with not too much dialogue.

finals are next week, after that i'll get my ass in gear on this movie. my plans for this movie are: 1) finish the script/concept/choreography ideas. 2) make sure there is still interest in the SoCal area for filming this summer. 3a) if there is interest, check some spots, contact some people and film it. 3b) if there isn't interest, i'll just do the movie in Flash by myself, and you will all be amazed at my animation.

another flasher... interesting... i dont think it would really be worth bothering...the amount of effort it requires...btw how do you do the layers again... the transperent mask things like smoke and headlights... coz im back into flash recently and redoing one of my old war flicks....and making another one about d'day... and i really need help on the transperent thing-a-ma-bobs...

sorry to bug you about the movie but its been ages since i even heard a "im behind schedule" or a "couldn't be bothered nemore" etc. just keep the troops rallied up and i got nothing but routine exams coming up so i can help with scripts etc. (obviously i dont have much of a life coz i've got a 32mb ram celeron piece of crap computer which can't run cs or battlefield, my latest console is a n64, i dont have either internet or tv cable and IM NOT HAPPY JAN!!! oh sorry wait that was an australian ad campain, u probably just think im wierd now)

wats the use of bloody blood (oops double) in a nerf movie unless... no... there is no unless... blood is not needed in nerf...

oh...yes i just thought of something i can do over here in aus apart from script etc. the soundtrack in acid! no...ok then ill shut up...

i know im going to get a metric shit-ton of haitmail for recirculating old topics and im not going to let this one die....

anyway i do have some actually useful information... i have recently had a major idea and realised that we could ask nerf for sponsorship for this movie..

i have therefore written a rather formal lettter detailing the movie possibilities, sponsorship oppurunities and the like... awaiting a reply i will post both the letter and reply and i think we would all be grateful if they did... considering we are the nerfing future.... and they have to know that

to tell you the truth potatoe cakes, i'd be pretty dissappointed in good ole' capitalism if Mr. Johnson who owns Hasbro who owns Nerf sent me a check and a movie deadline.

i mean, if a} the movie had a chance of making money b} it used unmodified guns c} i had a background in film making OR d} i had a written proposal (or for that matter, a script); then there might be an inkling of a chance that businessman bob would sponsor the idea with a haypenny or two. but realistically, there's no way in hell that they are even going to send you a free sticker.

and don't worry about riviving the topic, i was going to revive it in a few days anyway, once i get my brain focused in the nerf direction.

i never even received a reply from nerf hq and i was senile to think i would get sponsorship let alone a reply... but you all anticipated that any way didnt you... damn smart bastards...

Howdy, G'day, Hello,
Whatever language you speak i'd just like to say hi and apologise for bringing up the topic that has long since been dead... [Oct 21st 2003]...

I have been looking back on some of my previous posts and im surprised you guys put up with me, heh, i was just a regular asswhore, thanks for not flaming me too much. But anyway i revived this topic for a reason, i was showing Nerf to a few people today, and showing them the vids etc. and they well, thought it was pretty lame in the movies but expected it to be much more proffessional and fun normally. And then i remembered that we still had the idea of the Nerf Movie floating around.

Reading back you might realise that i played a role in writing an introduction screen, and Julie and Rawray and others [from memory alone] were just the general kaning people, who posted opinions and suggestions. So i thought, hey, i know it died last time so lets try and kick it over again.!!!

I know there is no point in writing down some of my new ideas if there is no interest in making this new movie but maybe one will lead to another and some of my ideas may pull together a script, so if you can really be bothered, read on and please show your support for the Nerf Movie....

P.S. Maybe we could tie this in together with some school projects or a film subject at school [lets just all ignore Julie], but maybe if you want this to work everyone is going to have to put in, next school holidays, maybe miss the week before and the first day back or something, just im desperate for this to happen...

Generally, scriptwise im going to leave it up to everyone else, but if you give me a rough idea or timeline i can make some story boards and "schtuff" to help or develop some scripts, the only suggestions are that we get:
-=- one kick ass head/bodyshot with a wire-team or reasonable cost effective substitute
-=- A scene to coincide with one of my music suggestions [soon to follow], in which at the end of the film one of the leads says goodbye and stays behind to take on like 30 nerfers, and the entire time a certain song is playing, but this needs to be done in a whole non corny way.

NOW THE MUSIC SUGGESTIONS:

these have been attained legally by me and i suggest if you wish to sample these tracks, that you download them illegally fuck the RIAA....

Allthough nothing beats the orginal, this song kanes and is excellent for an action scene or sometihng similiar, i suggest you listen to this and see. Rogue Traders recently one an oscar or something similiar for the remix/cover, or maybe a Logie [australian crap] which, converts to about 10 logies equals the value of a gold logie, and as the creator of Harvy Crumpet is quoted as saying "winning an oscar is like having 100 gold logies hanging around your neck:...

This is the afforementioned song, played over the scene where he is hopelessly fighting against 30 odd nerfers, a great more emotional song, possibly a remix should be used, or an edited version like on the CSI: Miami showed in Aus a few weeks ago. A song to die by

i think that quote alone describes exactly why i dropped this project. if we're going to do this, #1, its not going to be in australia. #2, its got to have a simple, no-background story plot, about as simple as a spy vs. spy comic. #3, there is no way in hell we'll pull off anything more than a few minutes. i'm willing to revive my own interest in the project if there's enough SoCal interest in the project, but going by the general 0 amount of SoCal interest in nerf lately (myself included), i don't know about it. anyway, if anyone wants to steal any ingenious ideas in this thread and actually make a movie, go right ahead. as for me, i'd be willing to donate a day or two of my summer to do this, given i'm not the only one interested.

well i had actually thought up a whole new kick ass intro for you guys, and i know how you can sort of make this work, but you know, lazy damn yankies, its really a case of getting a friend interested and then another friend interested and planning this for like a whole year ahead, and then in one week of holiday [or more] pulling the previous years work together, in the forms of script, roles, and exact deadlines and making one kick ass film....

if anybody wants to see the new intro, just say the word, because im that bored lately..... .... ... .. .
