Hope you don't hate me for ripping apart your N-strike set...
Is it just me, or is that pic basically actual size? At least on my computer. I held a stock micro right up the the screen and it seems to be the right proportions.

My question to the ever growing list “Does the revolver section pull out further?” I believe it does, the hinge looks like it rotates outward more. And a tentative release date too.

Fantastic design. Im usually not a big fan of the newer guns, but this thing looks amazing. I've got a few questions (that have not yet been asked).
1. Willl this be released with another color scheme? I personally love it when there are multiple colors of the same gun.
2. It fires micros, right?
3. Will this include any extras (i.e target, dvd, etc)
Thanks for all your help.

It seems logical, since the Hornet was named the AS-6, and it had 6 barrels, the RF20 had 20 barrels etc.
What about the Supermaxx 5000?

The new color scheme is blue and yellow.
The cylinder is not off center. The 2nd picture shows it open to load--that is as far as it opens. It has 6 barrels--kudos to those of you who figured out the naming scheme.
The internals are similar to those of the Scout. The barrels automatically advance--similar to the AT1000, but *much* more reliably. The firing distance is on par with the NiteFinder and Scout. It shoots microdarts. The barrel is not removable.
We have not reissued the crossbow--we have nothing to do with the flood of them on the market.
I do not expect the Powerclip to be rereleased any time soon.
The Maverick should be out in stores by the beginning of the year.
I believe the retail is about $8.

Thanks for the info, it's great to hear from the source. You guys make it all happen.

thank you for taking time out of both your work and personal life to bring us the news.
one man clan is right in saying we'd be hard pressed in finding a hobby or sport in which its design team is as in touch with its users as the Nerf Team is.

Second, I dont expect him to be able to comment on the inner workings much, but here is a sketch of the first thing that came to mind for the rotating mechanism.
Just a thought. The slide turns that gear in the middle, which pushes forward that slider. The angled peice catches the little ridges on the cylinder, rotating it in to place for the next shot. To make sure the alignment is right there could be a spring of some sort that pushes in to a slot on the back of the cylinder. Im anxious to see how Hasbro has actually done it.

I wanted to give you some feedback on the N strike. It's really all good. I've actually seen a few hits scored with the unmodded hornet. It may not be the best for us to mod (who knew you'd make a gun too powerful?) but as far as putting out quality blasters goes, the N strike is amazing. I can only hope your sales are doing well.
So thats a question I have, how are the sales for the N strike, and was the NiteFinder able to outsell the Eagle Eye?
Keep up the good work,
Talio.

No offense, but nothing will outsell the eagle eye.
As for the N-strike, i have noticed they are featured in my toys- r- us, target and k-mart ads. PLus They are featured prominintley in the toys sections (especially at TRU). Great job on advertising! Thanks!
So the n-strike line now has the hornet, titan, scount, nitefinder, maverick and SSPB. What guns next??? Maybe a re-released PC....(i really hope he was lying). The powerclip would be IDEAL for the n-strike line.

All I have to say to the Engineer right now is...
I LOVE YOU!!!!!
*ahem*
Yes. I hope a new automatic will come out. That would be really cool.
Although I do not own the N-Strike set, as Hasbro Australia doesn't distribute Nerf blasters anymore, I can say that I am impressed with all this stuff.
And, I have a REALLY important question to ask; can you please try to influence Hasbro Australia to distribute these guns - in Australia - PLEASE????

The assumptions run rampant... <g>
Thanks so much for going out of your way to answer our overabundance of questions on your own time. It's awfully nice to hear about new blasters from the source rather than having to wait till we see them on the shelves. I have a feeling you're inspiring more than a few future ME students while you're at it.

Hey thanks for the info! This will definitely fit right in with my collection, I have a thing for revolvers. Just looking at it, in my completely non-expert opinion, I'm thinking it would function similar to a double-action revolver in terms of barrel rotation. But then I guess it's far too early to speculate![snip]

The only question I think I can legitimately ask, is will there be another "core" gun to the "n-strike system"? Like another titan but sold individually and functions diferently. I like my titan an awful lot, but find it a bit impractical sometimes. I would be pleased as a tobacco bug in phillip morris' shipping warehouse if I could have one of those Mavericks, a powerclip, and a core gun integrated with one another.
