Well, here we are again. I didn't like how big the titan was, blah, blah, blah. You may have heard it before. This made it quite a bit smaller, and (somewhat) surprisingly lowered the amount of pumps it takes to fill. Besides that, I reduced it's trigger pull, because that was really bothering me.
To start off, open up the gun, if you can't pry the orange ring off whole, as I have, hack it off, dremel it off, what have you. Once open, start off by plugging the overpressure valve, as should be done with almost any air gun.
Then attempt to remove that worthless pressure gauge. It never worked for me anyways, it started half full, and each time I got it full and fired it would end up behind where it began. So it needs to go. To remove, simply remove the center screw holding it in, and you should be able to remove it. If not, then rotate it all the way forwards, and you'll see a screw hole, remove screw, then rotate all the way back and remove screw.
Using pliers, remove the plastic cap keeping the tube on the gauge and valve. Remove the piece of junk and continue. Once again, remove the plastic cap keeping the tube on; this one is on the pump. Then, remove the ball bearings as in ompa's mod (props to ompa for a great mod!), but this time the front trigger and all it's parts, as well as the tube leading to the hornet's mounting point.
You should have now reduced the gun to the basics. Two things left to do.
I did what is called the bic pen mod of reducing trigger pull, I personally use the left over parts of larami trigger mechs, the odd shaped plastic bits that rotate with the trigger and firing pin are almost always perfect. That part would be the hot glue bit in the picture below, it makes it possible to release the air much faster.
Second part, very important. Get screws (I preferred wood screws for this because of their large threads) about the same diameter as the hole for the removed piping (don't count the threads, just the center of this screw in this estimate.)

Once this is all done, remove everything from the shell, and start hacking. All I can say to guide you, and cut around where the grip your hand would hold it with is. Additionally, I decided to keep the front screw of the front handle in place. The other cut I made was the back pump. I found a space where there was a sort of existing plastic wall, already facing up and cut down to there (it also happens to be where a screw is, but make sure you cut the top half of the butt).
After it was all put back together, it only took 20-25 pumps to get it as full as 25-30 had earlier.
Looking for pics? Without them, I’m almost sure no one would understand me.

This is the main pic, it shows both the screws in place of tubing, as well as the trigger pull fix.

Final product! Sorry, no ranges as of yet, seeing as my freaking stefans aren't a) weighted enough, and b ) tight fitting enough. I'll find some fishing sinkers and try again.

Just to show the lack of gauge.

So there you have it, much more comfortable (the 'butt' no longer gets in the way if used like a gun butt, you can easily look through the sight), fairly better all around, and the trigger pull is so much better (try it, you'll be amazed).
Suggestions and comments welcomed, any griping about grammar or spelling, take it up with ms word...

p.s. extra pics on request

*edit* One thing not mentioned, it can use the scout, because it's awesome and doesn't otherwise affect performance.

That looks snazzy. But I would've done the barrel modification differently.

Awesome job cutting all that other crap off the titan. I don't mind the original size for a rocket launcher, but it is very bulky for a loser. The thing I really hate is the freaking huge pump that you could fit baby kittens in. Anyhow, nice mod once again.

How would you have done the barrel mod, suave? Just to clarify, it's a 1/2" pvc coupler surrounded by e-tape with four screws drilled through the titan's barrel, then goop sealed on the inside. I didn’t want it coming out, so I went a little bit overkill. I was concerned that the coupler in ompa’s mod, awesome an idea as it was, could come out to easily if you jammed your barrel in there too tightly. This won’t be coming out unless I really want it to, and even then it would be a real bitch to remove.
It still shoots the rocket fine if that is what you're concerned about. Removable nested brass that is really long, but not long enough yet... ::maniacal laughter:: Currently, it goes past the coupler all the way back to the valve opening, almost flush with it. That way, less barrel sticks out.

*edit* also, thanks custom, that's what I was going for, loser. I usually wouldn't use the rocket unless some blast radius damage rule was implemented. hmmmm...

Great Job, but I think it can be taken yet another step

Ok looking at what you've done I think you can reduce the size even more by chopping down and relocating the pump. You'd have to graft some vinal tubing between the pump and the air tank, enough that the pump can be moved out in front of the trigger and under or on one side of the barrel. I'd definatily remove and replace the cap of the pump and replace it with something else; the end from a Sm1500 or tape, PVC, whatever.

Here is an idea of what I'm thinking:

Thirst did something similar to your idea J_cobbers. He didn't post it, I think. Well, it provided a much faster pumping time and etc.

Great idea, J_cobbers. I'm trying that too, with an added homemade stock. Also, I'll be using a different pump, either my broken BF's or my broken RF20's. I dunno, the pump just seems so pitiful.

I already did something like that awhile ago, brought it to DCNO2, but I didnt use it. Ill take pictures sometime next week because my brother is reformatting right now, and nothings installed, so I cant upload. Basicall,y I cut off all the extra crap, not the front handle those. Where the hornet was, I relocated the pump.

Nice! If I get one of those and make it smaller it would most likely be my brother's secondary loser rifle!

Ok, I like the mod. It made aiming way easier. Next time I'd leave the front handle, though. But, I'd cut the bottom of the handles out.

I dunno, I never found relocated pumps very comfortable.
Besides, I might attempt to put another pump in or on the existing pump handle. Where I screwed closed the gauge, you could attach the other pump and almost half the pumping time.
It seems like a good idea, I might do that, but only when I can get another pump, as well as free time.
