I'm not going to say all the good movies, I'm going to say all the movies with massive potential to let me down..but that's just my pessimistic view on things.

Well, it's a sequel guys... don't expect much. You know how sequels like to suck most of the time.

More importantly, House of 1000 Corpses comes out this month. Yeah. And such. And whatnot. Yeah.

I hate you.

that's the way it should be. i've found that LA in general is very good at staring down people who wear anything half-conspicious. my theory: the air here is so bad, they can't think straight.

Well, technically speaking, I get away with wearing all black all the time too - that doesn't mean people are happy about it. There seem to be a fair number of people who have problems with the whole trench, docs/para boots thing ever since Columbine.

Hmm... I think it's funny, now, instead of calling a sequel '2', it's like "Matrix Reloaded" or "Charlie's Angel's Full Throttle". I just find that amusing. I probably won't be seeing it for a while. I still haven't seen Episode II yet. Lot of people said it wasn't any good. I dunno when I'll get to see it. But I probably will at sometime (MR and Episode II). Anyways...

Touche. The point of dressing wierd is to break the mundane conventions of everyday life. Usually, it's to try and make some kind of statement. Why should I dress like all of you just to fit in and meet your expectations? Why should I do anything the way you expect me to just because it fits into societies mold? Of course, you could take this and try to throw it back at me and tell me that if I was so against the standards I wouldn't wear any clothes, or i'd wear something more outrageous, or any number of devil's advocate type comments... people pick and choose their fights. For me, wearing what I wear started as a simple preference of colors. My fav. color is the color green... but I don't like wearing it. I decided i liked mostly blues and Black. I started listening to heavy metal and inustrial alot... just so happens most band shirts are black. Hence: dressing in all black wearing band t-shirts. I don't do it for attention, I do it because it is simple, comfy and how I like to look. I don't care what people think about it because I don't feel it neccessary to fit someone's expectations all the damn time.

I've never really gotten into the whole 'dress up like the characters in a movie' thing. I just don't get into movies that much. I watch them, love then, watch them agian, then find another to watch. I don't look up the actors, fall in love with them, find out everything I can about them (I have a friend that does this, it's weird). I don't really care. Hah, maybe I'm the weird one, but I just don't do that.

I just don't like to dress up. I prefer my jeans or shorts and my tshirt. That's perfectly comferbul for me.

What's The Return of the King? I don't think I've heard of it.

Julie, I did the same thing you did. I saw the Matrix because the video rental store didn't have anything else. Hah! What an ironic turn of events...I watched it twice the same night I had it. I was immediately hooked, and Inlitned1 can tell you, I'm one of the biggest Matrix fans in my area. It truly was a cinematic breakthrough, on many different levels. That's why I'm happy to see it expanding now, and excited to see what's to come in the "fight for Zion."

Has anyone here seen the "Final Flight of the Osiris?"

Oh, by the way, EVERYONE HERE MUST WATCH THIS:

Speaking of costumes... kind of ironic but as soon as NerfHaven came up so did a pop-up for some costume univer or something. Says "The Hulk and the Matrix coming soon!". Funny I think...

I'm not really positive what you are trying to say in that last one... maybe I'm just not reading it right.

I don't really smoke, and I play actual guitar... but not punk music. Heh.

I do, however, enjoy pants.

>twitch, twitch< What's....Return of the KING?!!!! Blasphemy!!!! ;)

Needless to say, I am a LOTR FREAK!!! I went opening night to BOTH FOTR and TT in costume. I have an awesome Arwen costume (thus my alias), and plan to be there again opening for ROTK. Of course, I greatly enjoy playing dress up. Did the same for both Harry Potter films, and wanted to for ST: Nemesis. Damn comm badge...disappearing on me...gah.

I will DEFINETLY be there opening night of MR, along with Spoon, Jason, and Matt, and anybody else that feels like joining us. And yes, I'm sure I'll be agonizing over a costume for weeks before. I love movies!

You can get tickets for a few major venues through movietickets.com or fandango.com. Most theaters won't be listed for a couple of weeks.
