So after about 8 weeks of intense YouTube cramming and coop772 "dude bro'n" me to death, I finally figured I would test the community waters. I'm fairly new to spring modding and the, and with the precise seating of every peice is giving me the blues this evening guys. I have an issue when my alpha trooper, it slam fires on engaging the pump forward quickly. It chambers if I prime it slowly fine though... Any suggestions?

Did you remove the locks that prevent fast priming?

Ok so I'm back with a new issue, its like the catch is slipping now it wont chamber. I put a worker 5k spring in, could that be the issue?

How heavy is your catch spring? You might want to double it or get a heavier one if it ain't catching.

You have to increase the catch spring strength. That is a common mistake when upgrading the main spring. Otherwise there is not enough force to keep the catch on the plunger rod, thus letting it slip. If you add another spring to the stock catch, that should be enough. Or you can buy a small industrial spring ,and replace it with that.
I'm not sure about the alpha trooper, but I think that it can handle 5kg? The stock Longshot catch can... Anyways, just add like a pen spring to the catch spring and you should be fine.

I was able to get it done guys thanks, it was actually a dumb mistake I made by adding a piece of electric tape on the o- ring in the plunger. So I took my clipzeene out and stuck a screwdriver against the tube and primed it, sure enough that piece of tape was catching and forcing the plunger forward. I forgot I even put tape there I was so caught up in the catch. Alphatrooper is @ 100% the blues is over.
