No glue domes or other hard-tipped darks
Slugs and silicone domes are legal
Stock ammo is legal
Almost any alternate ammo is legal, as long as it is soft

Melee Rules
No barrel taps
Melee weapon legality will be voted on before rounds

Shield Rules 
Mantas are legal shields
Nothing else is legal, unless the group thinks it's cool
Shields do not protect against big ammo

Miscellaneous
Eye protection is mandatory.
 Bring water.
Think about wearing sunscreen.

I am very interested in attending... It's similarly 6 hours or so, but I'm hoping to make it out. I'll likely bring at least a friend or two.

 

EDIT: I sadly have to cancel. I'll make it to MN sometime this summer though.

I eliminated the section in the rules about pistols, since I don't think we'll be doing any pistol rounds. Or if we do, I'm just going to wing it when it comes to rules.

None in particular. I won't babysit or anything, but even children can fling foam.

#2 Are there weapons and ammo that I can use, or do I need to get a gun by that day?

 

I am very new to nerfing and have never been to an official war, so sorry if my questions may seem obvious.

Yep, you can show up anytime you want.

You do need to bring your own gun and some darts. I would recommend picking up one of the Elite line of blasters - a Strongarm is a good cheap choice.

 

(I'll probably end up lending you one of my SNAPs, but be sure to have something of your own to use).

Barely gives at all, pretty solid vinyl.

Still, if you have some, bring it along. We'll do a blind test to see how much they hurt.
