Update: Thanks for the help guys! I fixed the problem, as I forgot to upgrade the catch spring. Thanks The2ndBluesBro!

Hi! I am modifying my Retaliator, and just put in a 5 KG spring and took out the locks. When I tried to put it back together, it doesn't work. In the pictures below, it is not primed.

Could someone tell me what's wrong?

You probably didn't upgrade the catch spring.

You probably didn't upgrade the catch spring.

Is an upgraded catch spring necessary for the blaster to function?

Never mind, looks like it is. When I added a stronger catch spring, it worked. Thanks!

I would've said the plunger tube is too far forward, it wouldn't prime

Another thing to watch out for when adding springs (though it doesn't seem to be the case this time) is that If the spring is too long at full compression it can keep the catch notch from progressing all the way back to the catch. So if a blaster with a new spring wont prime, and you're feeling a solid thud when priming (like it's hitting a wall but won't catch) - your spring is too long, or you have a dart sucked into the plunger tube.
