The retaliator, with the locks is probably as idiot proof as it gets. You can hand one to a six year old and they will learn how to use it in 5 minutes.

Give them a Barricade/Stockade.
Operating instructions
- Turn on switch
- Load in darts
- Pull trigger until empty
- Repeat 2 and 3 until round is over
Idiot-resistant.
(Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot!)
