As the winner of the N00b's First Homemade contest, Meaker VI's Mark 8 is now the official starter blaster of NerfHaven. This thread is here to make it easier for new members to ask questions about this blaster and get help building it.
The purpose of this thread is to share information. Feel free to post refinements to the Mark 8 design, personal tips for construction/materials, questions about any aspect of the blaster, pictures of your completed Mark 8, and anything else relevant. Please include photos of your work. If you are not making one right now or haven't finished one then there's no real reason for you to post in this thread.

SNAP Stuff:
The Mark 8 has a lot of features in common with the SNAP, but there are some significant differences in how the catch is laid out. If you're having trouble with the clothespin trigger, take a look at Carbon's Clothespin Trigger guide. It will look a little different from the Mark8 but the principal is the same.
