Continuing off a topic from another post, I figure it may be beneficial to review this blaster from China. Yes, it looks strikingly similar to the Stryfe.

-Identical in size and performance
-can use all nerf clips, drum kits, xplorer stefan clips
-can fire all full length darts
-uses the same type of motors as the Stryfe. I burned out the original ones and now have a pair of Pololu motors in it
-Needs to be rewired as the wire that came with it is like 26 or 28 gauge thread.
-No electronic locks whatsoever
-Uses 4AA batteries, I ran 4 trustfires the first time and it reached 102fps, with of course the nice burnt motor smell. With the new motors I can get away with high 90 fps with 2 trustfires.
-Uses it's own attachments and stock. Cannot used nerf front barrels even though it looks the same (it will fit if you jam it on)
-The clip release is far better than the Nerf one
-Clip that comes with the blaster does not work on Nerf Blasters
-Screws on the shell is on the opposite side, but to take the shell off you need to flip the blaster back over
-Has the same Nerf digital camouflage

Did you put foam in it, or did it come like that?

I would say to not have the electronic locks but you also have to rewire it so.

For science, obviously. Sometimes you find something unexpectedly awesome. And not everyone on here is in the US - it's quite possible for many Asian Nerfers that these are in fact less expensive than their Nerf counterparts.

I put the foam in it. I comes just like any other Nerf blaster, hollow.

Well, I got this blaster last year and I got it for WAY less then what is advertised and what a Stryfe goes for. I wanted to see this blaster was about and what it could do. My opinion, it works just as well and maybe a heck of a lot cheaper in the Asian market vs. US.

Personally, I may buy one of these for three reasons.
1. Comes with stock (not nerf compatible but cool for paintjobs.)
2. Comes with 12 dart mag instead of the wimpy 6 dart one
3. Comes with 20 elite-style suction darts!

Basically you're getting most of the "mission kit" (minus the recon barrel) for only $24 instead of $30-$40
Funny enough, I think there's also one that does come with a barrel for like $26

EDIT: Reason 4. I just noticed the clip is clear on both sides. That way you can paint/tape over the side everyone can see and still be able to count your remaining ammo. I've always hated that Hasbro puts the clear side on the outside, unless you're a lefty in which case you have a wonderful advantage. Man I wish I was a lefty

A decent point, but the question comes down to the whether 4 dollars for a non interchangeable retaliator stock is worth it. I wouldn't pay 4 bucks for a regular retaliator stock much less one I cant interchange with other blasters.

Does it help with noise, reduce vibration, or something else? I've only seen people cover the flywheel compartment with foam.

Is that a weaver rail on top? A strong molded one that's a part of the blaster could be it's selling point. The stock, You can keep adding 3/4ths onto the end, or use on of those custom 3d ones.

Yes, it does provide a bit of sound deadening and make the blaster feel a bit more solid.

I compared this to the picatinny rails I have and this is narrower. If I recall weaver and picatinny were the same size? I didn't try to mount any of my picatinny accessories to it though.

Looks nice, thanks for the internals view. The cage looks different, do you think it would accept modding cages like the worker, organge, snickers metal cages?
