I think it should be stated that this kind of performance doesn't necessarily mean that these darts are poorly constructed. The manufacturers are probably not expecting to have so much torque applied to the dart heads, because normal people don't put 180s in Stryfes.

Edit: I just noticed these were koosh darts, so my comment was irrelevant as I assumed they were FVJs. It's late I should sleep. Ignore me.

After 10+ cycles the heads of some of the darts are coming off. Using the darts in stryfes with 180 motors.



Also noticed that the heads come off cleanly with little to no foam. Time to get some hot glue.

Unfortunately from most of the reviews, these darts perform better when used with modified blasters. So I'll just have to reglue em when the tips come off.

Thanks for the link. I'll stick to hot glue for now. I don't want to deal with fumes and having to wait hours for the cure time.

First off, thank you so much for your videos. I have learned a lot watching them as I enter into the Nerf world. 

 

With my upcoming build, I guess I am not normal, but then again, what is normal, right? Anywho .... What other darts would you recommend? The kiosk's seem to have the best test results I have seen, but is there a better dart out there? If not, then we just have to repair our darts after running them through? 

 

My opinion, as humble and as noob-ish as they get, is that if I get more than 5 firings our of the dart, I consider it good and just buy more. At about $0.02 per dart, seems like a pretty minimal cost.

Honestly, koosh darts are great, but just don't react well with flywheels.  If you are intent on using a noisemaker, you may just need to use FVJs or the nipple darts.  Your opinion on dart longevity is a pretty good one and, if you can afford to purchase darts on a regular basis, should serve you well.

Weighing the packs is a great way to find foils, as well as bonus cards as per the DKA (right?) set where you had the extra flip cards. Saves you money if you're just going for foils, which is all it's useful for. 

On topic; 

Nipple darts are great, depending on which brand you end up getting. I really like the Accu darts, they seemed to fly further than FVJ's and stock elites out of my Crossbow. All shots seemed more consistent in terms of accuracy, but there is too much power behind them to really test that accurately. (heh) 
If you're just looking for something to shoot off, or have a ton of ammo around, the FVJ's really do a good job of being cheap and fairly launchable.

Koosh darts seem to work well in flywheelers, as that's the only thing Duke Wintermaul will use in them.

Do you really have to flame Drac every chance you get? I mean, he's done just as much as you, if not more, for the nerf community by organizing wars and making videos to introduce people to the hobby and entertain those of us who've been here for a while. Also, I played yugioh for a while a couple years back, and while I never did it (pretty impossible to do in a card store and unethical IMO) weighing ( aka " scaling ") packs does in fact, with really high accuracy, determine which packs have foils.
