I am just wondering where to buy "koosh" darts?
As I understand there are different colors (green & blue) and that the different colors have different glues and stuff?
So I am wondering which color and stuff is the best.
Thanks.

You would buy koosh darts here. There isn't really a better color, it all depends on preference.

XCS2 gave you the right link. We have bought from them a couple of times. The first batch the glue wasn't as good but the second batch it was better. The dark green is a new color added in the last month or so. We have both the blue and the lime green and I couldn't tell any difference.

We have been trying to track down the manufacturer so that we could buy in bulk and resell on ebay as a USA seller but we haven't had any luck.

From what I have found, people have been saying that these Link ship with in a week or so and that the foam is more consistent. Can anyone confirm this?

I can confirm that the beautifulwoman seller ships quickly and that we received them quickly. We received our last order (end of October) in about 2 weeks, which from China I think is fast. I can not comment on Yutoys as I have not bought from them.

I thought we settled this.

Both sellers have updated their listings to include a new gluing quality control check, you shouldnt be having any issues with loose heads anymore.

Go out and buy Koosh darts.

Duke, I don't think anything was settled in that other thread. I had asked if anyone knew who the manufacturer was. Someone else was also interested and you stated that beauftifulwomen had bad glue and yutoys had bad foam. I know that the darts that I bought in September from BW had bad glue but the ones I ordered from BW in Nov had good glue. Also a recent thread about buying bulk foam talked about how different colors could have an affect of the quality of the foam. In my koosh darts I have not seen anything different in the foam between the bright green and the blue.

I know personally I am still looking to find the manufacturer as BW claims not to be the manufacturer.

I read that the blue Koosh darts are actually made of a weaker foam.

I'm curious where you read that. If it's true, that's pretty important; lower-quality foam is more likely to jam in clip breeches.

I read that here

Nothing in the link you provided says that the foam quality is worse.

"[Koosh] foam is wider than (used, worn out) Elite dart foam, which gives it quite a tight fit in a lot of blasters."
is the closest thing I could find, but that is just commenting on the state of the elite darts that the blogger had on hand at the time.

Quality control for the gluing of the heads was mentioned several times, is that what you meant?

If two powerful is a problem then just go with one powerful. I guess this style of hopper will work even beyond three powerful..

I meant this:

<<The green Koosh seems to perform similarly to the blue Koosh otherwise, though I've heard that the green is less sturdy.>>

Objection! Hearsay is inadmissible in Nerf court. There is no corroborating evidence to support this claim.

Some the green ones I received lately had uncured glue. Maybe 1 in 10, or so. I haven't opened all the packs. So the tips were a bit wet and just slid out. Just be aware. Maybe I received a lemon batch. The rest of them are superb, much better made than before, since they started using a new glue or something.

I ordered some of beautifulwoman on eBay a little bit ago, so I should have them in about a week. I order the green, blue and yellow. I'll let everyone know how my batch turns out.

There's a good writeup on the new green Koosh darts. Some complaint about the foam, but still an overall good rating. http://torukmakto4.b...sh-initial.html

I got these from the eBay seller beautifulwoman. I didn't specify a color and I got 100 blues and 100 of these.

No loose tips. Next time I order, I'll ask for the pink ones.

I ordered one of those from Russia last year but it never arrived.

I ordered some of these, but a few people chimed in and said they're just bad quality, tips are hard, they are too short for flywheels, etc. I should have them in a week or so though, so I can let you know.

Here's a link talking about the differences between FVJs (the hard tipped kind) and the voberry soft tipped ones which seem to be the kind in the ebay link. http://torukmakto4.b...HVPj2KBMH5STVfs

After 10+ cycles the heads of some of the darts are coming off. Using the darts in stryfes with 180 motors.

Posted Image

Also noticed that the heads come off cleanly with little to no foam. Time to get some hot glue.

I think it should be stated that this kind of performance doesn't necessarily mean that these darts are poorly constructed. The manufacturers are probably not expecting to have so much torque applied to the dart heads, because normal people don't put 180s in Stryfes.
