I cut my self today shving (I use a straight razor) Shaving for a year in a half, first time this has ever happened, and it hurts like a bitch. The fucker wont stop bleeding! The great part, is I didn't realize I even cut myself util after the aftershave <v>

yeah, the only time i ever cut myself shaving, i didn't notice until i looked in the mirror and it looked like i had been decapitated. my entire neck was bloody, and it was the tiniest cut too. fucking necks bleed too much.

I personally dont use a strait razor. I use am electric razor made by nereclo. The ones with the three blade heads that swivel and stuff. I put on some shave gel when I need to get real spiffy and close shaven. Otherwise I just use some soap in the shower instead, or just dry shave real quik. Electrics arent for everyone though, takes a while to learn to do it without razor burn.

On the subject of shaving, have you guys ever shaved someones eyebrow while they were sleeping and then glued it to thier top lip ? I like to call it a "hitler"

I shave with either a knife or my trust pruning saw. I laugh at people that carry pocket knives, carry a "pocket" saw.

I used to shave with a Mach 3, until my sister stole it for her legs, then she left for college...I've been using an electric razor ever since.

OK there seems to be some confusion. A straight razor is just a blade, like the ones at here. A razor like the Mach 3 is not a straight razor.

I use disposable 2 blades most of the time but I have a mach 3 for travel. I just picked up one of those turbo ones (the one that vibrates) and it shaves slightly closer but it takes longer to get the job done. It's also just a vibrator built into a razor so if you are into that kind of thing...

I cut myself regularly so this is a subject that I know a bit about. You can get a stick from the drug store (I can't remember what it's called) but that is supposed to stop the bleeding. Personally I keep a little corn starch near by as it is super absorbant and it helps in clotting.

Heh, i'm so glad im blond. I don't have that much facial hair, and even though i'm getting what looks to be a bit of a mo... you'll all be none the wiser. Oh how i love having blond hair. But, in the future, ill look at either getting a Mach 3 or an electric one. My dad's got an electric shaver, but unless he goes pretty close to the skin, he's always got a tiny bit of stubble. But he also never cuts himself either.

Mach 3 is awesome. I also got one on my 18th birthday; the replacement blades are expensive, but worth every cent. My Norelco stoped working about a month a half ago; pissed me off, cause the sideburn trimmer was handy as hell. My skin's pretty damned sensitive: I found that using the sensitive aloe stuff by gilette or whomever helps, and I also soak my face before and after I shave with a piping hot washcloth, and use plenty of after shave. Rinsing the blade in hot water helps to. Just some hints, yeah.

Has anyone tried the three blade disposable razors? They are cheaper than the refills and I have a feeling that they are just as good. Also I have been having problems getting my sideburns straight with the three bladers so I keep a double blade one around. Has anyone tried the quatro?
