To settle a dispute between airapache and myself, please choose which gun you would rather use, assuming they were both given PVC mods.

Yeah, life sucks, but it does guarantee a trip around the sun every 365 days.

Well if you PVC a AT3k, it would be single barrel, so I vote larami 1.5k

Ok you don't have to single barrel it... that would be REALLY stupid. Just brass it- the rotating mechanism can handle the weight- I've done it twice. Also, the range of the AT3k is only like 10ft short of an sm1500, and the ROF is much better than that of an sm1500. However, if you would be odd enough to pvc barrel an AT3k, I suppose a sm1500 would be better... but WHY would you single barrel an at3k?

The reason why I like at3k better than sm1500 (hah i have the sm but not the at yet) is because of its rate of fire. As ompa said, you can brass it; but you can also cpvc and or petg it, and it's a sweet-a weapon. The sm1500 is a nice weapon but it has 4 shots vs six shots, manual rotate. When your in a tight spot, I think it's worth getting an extra 2 shots, instead of having to reload when your shooting something 25 feet away. And the at3k isn't even that much less powerful than the sm1500. You lose like 15-20 feet. The supermaxx1500 is sweet, yes, but like I said, the advantages of the at3k outweight sm1500.

EDIT: Why would you PVC an at3k? That's pointless, and counterproductive.

I vote for the 1500, the turret mechanism will never jam, and it just has an air of classic coolness to it that the 3k doesnt quite manage, plus the 1500 was practically made to be pvc'ed and looks awesome with pvc in it.

The turret almost never jams if you mod it correctly. And an auto rotating device will save you the necessarily second before the other guy finishes pumping. Also, maybe YOUR airtech 3000 doesn't have an air of coolness, but the ones I've seen on Armageddon, and YANO, like Cx's certainly do.

I have seen a pic a guy took of a multi-barreled AT3k using the original turret and rotating system. It was standard 1/2" sch. 40 PVC, he just sanded the sides down so they would fit together better. A simple solution, but effective.
