Well, if you're pulling foam along with the head I'm convinced. Maybe I'll try mixing rubber cement in on a separate batch and see if that sticks without the formaldehyde.

If you're desperate to recover a dart that did this, you can stuff rubber cement in the hole and mash the head back in. Sticks well, although I don't have enough data to comment on if the performance was affected.

Also it's good to hear y'all are experimenting with different types of squishy goos. I think that adding cornstarch is usually ruinous and leads to hard plastic domes, but Shmmee seems to have a magic formula with the mineral spirits that makes a softer-than-pure final material. I'm still unwilling to trade the caulk gun for a bag, so I haven't played with any mixtures.

Aside from the mixing ability, you really do get much better control out of the bags.
