Pretty darn simple. Also kinda picture heavy.

Hey guys. First off, here's a pic of the finished product.

Posted Image

Only notable difference is the plunger rod rotation, that's covered later

Materials:
needle nose pliers
screwdriver
seal improvement tape
time and patience

Unscrew all of the screws, so it looks like this

The shell is one solid piece, so just take your pliers and pull out the peg. Then attack whatever is left with the pliers, until it looks like this

Posted Image

Go through the plunger tube to remove all of the plastic. diddle that circle of plastic with your pliers until it comes out.

After

Improve the seal from

to Better:

[that's teflon tape, if youre wondering. plus some lube]

Rotate the plunger rod if you have larger hands, like me.

Unscrew this screw, and replace the spring. Tek 6 springs [also rads 12, tek 4, tek 10, etc.] work best.

Slap it together! It will take some muscle if you have the tek 6 spring in there, but it all fits together.

You're done! Enjoy your newly modded jolt

This thing is TINY

It uses SNAP technology, pretty self-explanatory

and now, Ranges.

Flat
57'
59'
60'
58'
61'

A must buy, best pistol I own.

If two powerful is a problem then just go with one powerful. I guess this style of hopper will work even beyond three powerful..

Well, having seen this particular Jolt in person, I can attest to its power. For such a small package, it packs quite a punch, when modded correctly.

Nice writeup, by the way. I think I'm going to have to get my own Jolt, soon.

Was The AR removed through the plunger tube, or did you tear it out through the barrel? If it came out the plunger, did you have to do any additional shell modifications/drilling to get it out? I've heard that Jolt shells are one solid piece so I was worried about AR removal (I've been searching the stores of Utah for a jolt since they were released).

Side note: Do I also spy a gumdrop dart in the 7th picture down? Fun to see one pop up in someone else's pic.

I need to find a jolt in metro Detroit. Thous ranges are similar to my NF so I think that would definitely worth buying.

I've seen Jolts at many of the TRUs in Michigan. I think the one in Novi had them, but that's the closest to Detroit of the ones I've been to.

Neato, looks like we finally have a true pocket pistol. The eliminators were always too big, and didn't have nearly enough power. 50'-60' sounds quite practical.

Nice write up! I followed this guide and got nice ranges as well. Being able to vaccum-load stefans is also a plus. I'll definitely use my Jolt in the next war.

Shmee, plunger tube. just diddle it and it will come out. I'll add that to the writeup.

Also, its one of your oogoos from 'geddon. they work really well in this.

@spencerak - Target's online store now has them in stock if you want to order one instead of trying stores. They'll probably have it soon as well, and they're charging $4.99 for them (leaves KMart as the cheapest still).

Going to try a LSFG spring as I've already purchased one but if the ranges aren't enough I'll look at trying one of the ones you mentioned. Nice write-up though.

Tried that as well, its okay. Don't improve the seal with only that, it will just slow down the plunger.

You should do a barrel replacement.

A barrel replacement would not be optimal in this situation, as the barrel is already decent, and is also really close to your finger.

So it was a baby 'splat after all. Do you feel any chance of misfire when you smack the primed plunger rod? What is the minimum spring inner diameter the plunger rod will accept? It looks like you can measure that from the outside.

Nope, just slammed it into a table, multiple ways.

and there's a minimum and a maximum.

Minimum ID - 7/16"

Maximum OD - 11/16"

Great write-up! Have you had any problems with the catch not holding due to the increase in spring power?

NerfRevolution loves these things. Rogue put a Rogue spring in one, and it still holds miraculously.

I have seen, although both barrel replacements and dead space removals do not increase the range that much. The cap for range appears to be 60 feet.

Buzz Bee has a universal spring system, excluding their clipped blasters. A Rogue spring would be the same as a Tek 6 spring.

@Mysterio---Nice job, the Jolt is amazingly fun and has potential as noted. I would argue that a 50% increase in range for a blaster this size is pretty substantial---especially because of the simplicity of the mods you mentioned. A $4 micro blaster hitting 60' is impressive to me at least.
