EDIT: I have an ar-removed DTG, a buzz bee torrent (w/ shells, awesome gun!) and a magstrike with no mags. I also have the (brutally) gutted shell of an SL6.

Mine's not quite that original, but hopefully good enough. And thankfully warm.

All I need to do is slap my crazy shotgun attachment on my JSPB and heft my box o darts and I'll be basically set. Oh, and initial all my little green frisbees, can't really afford to lose them all. I am not expecting my primary to break, I'm only worried it will be banned, despite my crazy shotgun attachment.

Last-minute:

My darts got screwed up because I had left the bag on the floor and my dog chewed on them. Fortunately he didn't swallow anything, but there's only two or three that could give me ranges better than 5'. So I'll be looking to buy a decent springer primary and a few hundred stefans. See you guys tommorow!

EDIT: I can trade a stock Vulcan for either of those.

Woo, I am so worn out after that war. Now to go to a Halloween party!

The only con is that all my primaries really sucked, my pistols outperformed them half the time. Also welts for the first time in like a year, although having to get within pistol range might have had something to do with that...

I also had a strong case of primary suckage, though my monster crazy shotgun JSPB was quite fun and very powerful. Just took forever to reload and nomnom-ed down my ammo super fast. Though it was extremely satisfying to fling a nigh-undodgeable cloud of darts at an opponent. And watch them scramble desperately only to get hit multiple times. It was also nice to unload on the core and watch every shot in the blast fall into the pool, even at ranges of 60 or 70 feet. But the ROF really did kill it for me. I spent alot of time fumbling about with it and was forced to rely very heavily on my Nightfinder and SSPB.

PROS:
-pretty good turnout
-those who actually had costumes had pretty cool ones
-my first time using a pump snap (Dirty Dan's)
-getting a Pulsator
-successfully playing about half a round of Attack the Core using an SSPB (badass!)
-green ribbon on my amish hat

CONS:
-arduous reload times on my shotgun JSPB
-not being able to peg people at 110' due to my RSCB-ed JSPB being banned
-artificial beard hairs in my mouth & nose while running
-suspenders fail
-using a mostly-stock Raider during territories
-shot in the lip with a long shot at close range
-had to leave early for a different party. Said party kinda sucked.

EDIT: don't get me wrong, this thing was pretty awesome. I'd do it again.

My first war was an awesome one. My shoulder still hurts from sliding on the ground 3 feet in DTC

Pros:
-TONS of free stuff!!! (Crossfire, Tommy 20, Mustang 6, wierd little non-nerf lights n' sounds derringer, 3 underbarrel lights, and Hyperfire shell. I had trouble getting it all back in my van.)

-showing off my elite squirt gun shield and watching everyone get their "OOH!" faces on as I told them of my plans for it.

-Watching my Nite Finder outrange my Berserker (pro/con)

-Getting to use SonReeceSonJensen's pink hoppered UMB

-Shotgun loading the UMB.

-running out of ammo for the UMB so I pulled out my NiteFinder and Crossfire and pulled off two shots into the core.

-My side, back, and ankle all are still sore from running straight and then turning my torso sideways to unload a shotgun load into the core, all while dodging darts, until I tripped.

-Frickin' war hangover! HELL YES!

-Not having very much to write in the cons space.


Cons:

-My Berserker sucking so badly that I would have been better off running around with a NiteFinder.

-Some people I had buisness with not showing up

-Watching my Nite Finder outrange my Berserker (pro/con)

This war was supa awesome.
Pros
-Guns all performed fantastically.
-Shotgun-hoppered HAMP owned shit in DTC. 140-40. All I need is more darts and a turreted hopper. Shoutout to Dirty Dan for expert stampede wielding.
-Got to test out a bunch of guns. Stampede and longstrike were hellafun, and my newest NF got some seriously competitive primary ranges.
-I got some cool stuff, although I didn't get several of the most important items. That Eagle Eye shell will get something awesome soon.
-Had a good time hangin' with all the bros. And the... girl.
-'Tron (Paul) using the integrated secondary on his Longshot to blind people (the mirror polycarbonate)
-Starting to establish myself in the community, this was only my third war.
-Great game variety, there were a lot of opportunities to mess around with fun guns, like stampedes and longstrikes.
-capture the princess is just so awesome.
-Dan got footage of I think the whole war. That'll be cool.

Cons
-Getting there an hour and a half late. Especially because there were people leaving at that point.
-There were several people I had hoped would be there that weren't.
-The 2 most important things I needed I did not receive.
-The front of the tank on my UMB broke off, which may be irreparable. Not including my Big Blast that was my only other primary for Kathleen to use, although my nitefinder with rscb was plenty (But her own primary is in the works. Hint: it has bow arms).
-At the end of the day i was desperate for a cool project gun. Like a Quadshot (currently at the top of my list). Or any larger springers, really.
-Smashing my shin at the playground, it's pretty swollen now.

OH MY DAMN did I love all of that!

I am pretty certain every single person there kicked ass. So here goes:

DudeRad - Nerfed well AND helped set shit up: two very sting points in a war attendee.
Veeta - best Adam Jensen/Zach Galifanakis costume ever.
Bowlmen - Proved you can go a whole war and never use a blaster and STILL make a difference.
Wilberfred - You played Mario Kart with the ziel of a 1000 angry hornets. And ate lots of Taco Bell.
Arfink - I saw you do that silly Amish trot! And you brought a sweet shotty.
Ben Fink - Best Territories Troll EVER!
Tron - Still Dr. Constant with the LS.
VenPants - ROCKED the minivan!
JudeWolf - you held 3 territory depots all on your own for like 7 min. DAMN!
Boss9 - Brought the heat for sure.
Kathleen - last time I underestimate a female non-forum member in a costume at her first war. I have plenty of dart marks to remind me of this.
LuckyLottoDanDirtyman - I think like 3 of you showed up because you were all over the damn place!

Pros
- 360 Core work like a BEAST! It would be hard to make it better.
- I thought small field and pistols only territories was great, and a fun change of pace.
- Some great Rescue The Pricess rounds in the playground.
- So many people helped find a home for about 40 lbs of Nerf material.

Cons
- None, not a damn one: A successful war occurred.

Great times!
+Did more trades at this war than any other in the 4 years I've been nerfing.
+Getting rid of many blasters I don't want, and gaining a few cool ones.
+The PAS that Atomatron fixed up for me was well worth the wait.
+Focusing way more on dart production over blasters in preparing for the war served me well.
+Blasting NWA while driving my van packed with THUGS.
+My Pistol Splat never-broken served me well. It still amazes me with its power despite the lack of maintenance and age.
+Way warmer than I expected; I spent about half the day in just a T-Shirt.
+Territories is a very promising game-type.
-Little kids getting right in the middle of our games.
+Talking to Erik about his wife
+Taco Bell as usual.
-Being late mainly because I thought my GPS wasn't working, my Phone wasn't getting web, and I had to go home and print directions. As soon as I got on the freeway, my GPS magically piped up. Stupid machine! Stupid! Stupid!
-Showing up too late for it to be considered "casual".
+Going to a thrift store after the war and getting a Sneakshot!
-Messiah, Chicago Peeps, and may others were not in attendance.

I know the war was two weeks away, but there is still time to post.

+ I got video of almost every round.
- Both my cameras ran out of battery before the end.
- Beige darts were almost impossible to find, I found 10 the whole day.
+ All my blasters worked great.
+ All the free stuff
+ 360 DTC, probably one of my most favorite game types.
+ Pretty good amount of people for the weather.
+ Got nicer later in the day.
+ Capture the Princess in the playground.
+ Little kids and their parents helped pick up darts.
