Is there a backup location in case Beall is being used for MSI?

I am almost sure I can make it, but there's still a slim chance of not being able to go.

Getty (even the wooded area) is too small, apparently. Anyone know how Wheaton Regional Park is? Are there any parks that could be used? Schools?

I'd prefer not to have the war at Wheaton. It's a great location, but there are usually too many people there on Saturdays to hold a war there without having to worry about getting in the way of stuff.

General Getty is not too small - I hosted M3 Encore there last year and it ran just fine. It's a good backup park because it's not flooded with picnickers like Wheaton is on the weekends. Unless you're expecting more than 20 people, it should work.

Bruin Park is kind of far from the original location and not very Metro-accessible, but we shouldn't have to worry about youth soccer matches disrupting the war. I'm sure there are similar parks closer to Beall.

There are other parks in the DMV. It's kind of boring that we end up using the same venue every time.

Keo, there arent many as many nerfers on the omw forums so it wouldn't really make a difference... Our best bet would be Nrev because it has a decent amount of members.

If a melee hits a dart first/from the side to deflect it etc, that would not count as being a gun hit on the melee wielder will it ?

Honestly, I don't think that you'll be deflecting darts much. However, if your ninja powers do allow you to do so, as long as it was obvious that you were swinging/going to deflect the dart, and not just standing there or swinging at someone, it won't count as a hit.

Me and my crew of 0-5(?) guests are maybes as of right now. Once I get back home (in a week) I'll have my schedules all figured out.

EDIT: I am a no go for sure. Aint happening, and I am devastated that I am missing another good one

I'm not sure about me being able to do that, especially on stefans. But my friend wants to come and only use a double sword....

I'll begin updating the attendees list as soon as more people become definites, since right now the list for maybes is too long to mean anything.

Put me on the definites, unless something obscene happens I am going, my own guests or no. Christian has not told me anything yet, but another friend is very likely.

Edit: How do you find a good place to war, i'm thinking both of trying to find something in my area for future DCNF and one/the same but another time for when I do one with my outside of nerf friends that also somewhat Nerf(none have ANYTHING modded.)

Scope around. Find parks that have interesting features (trees for cover, etc.) and aren't flooded with people on the weekends. Also do your homework and figure out if there are reservations at those parks for big events, etc. You might run into birthday parties or cookouts where the people already reserved the picnic tables or shelters, so you'll want to have a back-up in case your plans don't work out.

Yes, the war will be at Beall ES in Rockville, MD.
Keo's talk about the other locations were for future wars, not necessarily DCNF wars.

Chaos was also asking about a back up incase there is soccer during our war, and the schedule for that is up soon.
