I can make both August dates but thats it. I want to make Apoc my best war event yet so I hope I can go.

If someone's willing to share darts with/sell darts to me, I can make any date, since none of them interfere with marching season. In addition, does anyone have experience with the durability and/or shatter resistance of chemical goggles? I'd imagine it's good, but still.

Have used them as loaners and for myself, never had any issues. They do a better job absorbing impact than sunglasses; getting shot in the sunglasses can feel like getting punched in the eye.

EDIT: Either I'll have the money to make the trip or I won't, the date makes no difference.

The date is set. August 6th. We'll be getting our permit this week and I'll post ANY updates I have. Once the permit is finalized more threads will be posted and pinned regarding weapon rules, round schedules, and more.

What kind of power facilities are available at the site? I have a stampede powered by Hobby NiCads, and a speed-charger to go with it, but I need an outlet to plug it in. From the vids I've seen on youtube (Courtesy of KNDOperative and ForsakenAngel), it's a big grassy field with no trace of civilization within an hour's walk, but that's just what I've been able to see. From someone who's actually been there, what kind of power can I get out of the park facilities?

None, there is no power at the warsite, just lots of trees and some big open fields. Why don't you just charge it the night before?


Also, just for clarification, this war starts at 10AM, same as always, right?

If you are traveling by car I would suggest getting a converter/adapter which plugs into the cigarette lighter in the car and powers an outlet. Or bring one anyways and see if someone is nice enough to let you charge your battery in their car for a bit.

The parking lot is about a 10 minute walk from the play area. I'm not allowing 20 minutes downtime between rounds this year. If your weapon requires a car to prime between rounds, bring an alternative.

Well, I have a few different batteries, so that should last me a while. I can always use them until the lunch break thingy, and charge them while I eat. Worst case scenario, I sit a round out and spend it recharging, but I doubt it'll come to that. I do have other guns, a souped-up Longshot and a creaky old Triple Strike that I can use, in addition to the ever-popular Mavericks. Thanks for the advice on those car adapters, I'm looking for one now.

There's not going to be an official lunch break, but people can always skip a round and take their own. Broken/malfunctioning weapons tend to impede your team as we don't stop play for their repair/replacement.
