I have noticed that when you pump an air blaster, say a Magstrike, and fire it 20 minutes after you pumped it, it won't fire. Are nerf blasters supposed to leak air normally like this or is there something wrong?

I don't think its supposed to happen. Your'e just not going to ever get an air airtank that doesn't leak a little bit.

I have a splitfire that I left full for like 3 months, and it never leaked a bit. Most leaks are easily fixed with some goop or lubricant.

I wrote a bit about this subject in the past: http://nerfhaven.com...ndpost&p=267789

You probably are only seeing a loss of pressure. This does not necessarily indicate that there is a leak. Pressure losses due to heat transfer are not insignificant.

Your leaks, however, seem to be pretty fast. I would suggest removing the internals of the gun and submerging it while pressurized to see if there are any significant leaks.

Thanks guys for the suggestions, it really helped. I think I will just let it be because its not typical for me to keep the blaster pumped that long without firing it.
