Not bad. If I played HvZ more and had an additional $50 laying around, I'd definitely pick one up.

Does the scope 'lag' a bunch? Because i can see other purposes for the scope, but if it isn't always up to real time, it could get ya in a tidge.

If you play in a church after dark like my group does with most of the lights off, this could be quite useful. It'll replace the light i use up top for sure

And if you please good sir, may i have a look-see at the rail mount? does ithave the appropriate tab to keep it in place on the N-strike rail, or will i simply need to lock it inplace with the friction of the tape?

no, there is nothing to keep it in place. You could drill a small hole and use a ziptie in front or put something else in front to block it from sliding

How strong are the clamps? For example, the LS scope can be knocked off the rails by a hard enough bump from the side, even if the ends of the rails are 'secured'.

Mocking him is a really good idea. I think you should do it more. But seriously. You put a night vision scope on what I'm assuming is a longshot. That's both retarded and gay. This is literally the worst thing I've ever seen on these boards.

Look, I know for a fact it does nothing for the performance of the gun. I'm a bored as hell night security officer. That pretty much means I've got shit loads of time to kill on my days off. While, yes it could be a benefit in the specific conditions my group gets together under, its certainly not for everyone.

And isn't fun the whole point or are we only here to shit in each other's cherios?

Who pooped in my cheerios? haha rofl. Ok guys I know some of you nerf differently than others. Leave it be. Im only sharing the find and helping those who do find it useful. As I said before, this toy/accessory is mission specific. Its not for everyone.

Anyway back to the mount discussion. It isnt very secure. There is no adjustability with the mount. So if you want a semi permanent solution then drill a hole thruy the mount and nerf rail and use a small but long screw and nut to hold it in place.

The point of Nerf is to have fun. The point of NerfHaven is to spit, shit, piss, upchuck, and ejaculate in each others mouths. Why waste Cheerios?

For those who do care, The NV scope can be mounted behind a scope. I put it behind my airsoft 4x Acog sight. The crosshairs and the view are all in focus, no distortion. I had to dial the focus knob of the NV scope but I can see perfectly thru the scope and have magnification. I added pics to my original post.

Quick note on NV like these, any other players using Eyeclops or this NV optic will see other players using them. The way that this works is that it throws and IR beam much like a flashlight, and then it filters it to colors that the human eye can register. Basically, if I had the eyeclops goggles and you had this optics and we looked at each other, it would look like we have flashlights. Or you can shell out the cash and get Gen. 1 NVG's.

TL;DR: Use a flashlight.

So you can play counter-luser and turn on the optics, but put duct tape over the IR LED emitters.

Then again, are Zombies allowed gear like this in HvZ?

actually this NV Scope can shut off the IR leds entirely. So you can stay stealthy. I need to see if that is possible with the Eyeclops goggles.

It needs the IR light to function. Sure you could block it, but it wouldn't work.

again only partial truths. The NV scope works with ambient light. Now in total darkness it would not work. However it is all about tactics. Same with the usage of tactical lights. You need to know when and where to use it.

One simple usage would be to "scope" out the opposition and see if anyone is using IR lights or NV goggles like eyeclops. given you are playing a night or dark game that allows them. Using a separate IR light in a tactical manor can draw attention away from you and short bursts will allow you illuminate and help ID targets.

Rogue Warrior, there is no perfect tool. There will always be an arms race. If you have a piece of tech that gives you an advantage, there is no stopping the other person. It just boils down to money and time.

I kinda figured that that was too painfully obvious to bear mentioning. But you are still harder to spot with the naked eye, which is the point.

Of course if everyone has them then everyone can see eachother, and you can't afford to be the schmuck that doesnt have one, thus is the nature of the arms-race (technical term, not likening to real weaponry). After all, lacking one leaves you with two options, the old Mk1 eyeball, which leaves you with reduced visibility in the dark but no visible light or IR emissions, or a flashlight which EVERYONE can see even without the NV's detection gear.

Again, this of course assumes that you play in the dark for any of it to be of any value.

I've mocked up my scope mount for my spectre (and pretty much any blaster that uses the raider style stock), once i've solidly mounted this and tested it a bit, on to putting a mount for it on the Stampede.

Currently I'm using a Weaver scope mount kit for a remington model 870, and a couple scope ring bases screwed together to make a riser. The scope is mounted upside-down to be lefty friendly.

Interesting attachement point but I feel it may not be very sturdy. You have a very large object attached to a small point. That will cause a lot of torque on that little mount.

I would rethink using the cocking slide on the spectre. Change it to a side bolt system and mount the rail ontop of the spectre. or just use a different gun entirely.

Once the base is epoxied down i'm going to work on a second attatchment point on the top of the stock adapter. I'm currently pretty suprised at how little play there is in the mount

Dude get that longstrike barrel of there, I know to you it looks dmr tacticool but it's probably killing your range...if your using it to cover an outer barrel (which I can't imagine) why not use the extension that comes with the spectre? Give that a pj and it might actually look alright, even though there's a superfluous tacticool scope on it.
